Name: Christine Gender: Female
Interests: I am a photographic artist with a press/photojournalism background. The title Photographic Artist describes me the best as I meticulously plan each and every photographic shoot that I do to ensure that it will be a "one off" work of art. I love being out in the open air.
My thoughts on photography. "Photos never really become important until the subject, whatever it is, is gone forever! and you know you will never have the opportunity to photograph that particular person or place or object again". Occupation: Photographer

| Can You Believe How Blue The Winter Skies Are In Toowoomba! Yesterday was a perfect winter's day, cloudless skies, just a gentle breeze and a hint of chill in the air, so I went for a walk and decided to record some of the beautiful flowers of winter.
I'm always fascinated by shadows and the combined shape of the bridge and my own shadow were interesting so I snapped a quick self portrait.
I love the smell of the wattle blooms, and the vivid yellow colour, just check out the bees swarming over the flowers.
I think it must be because we are up in the mountains in Toowoomba that on clear days, and especially in winter and spring, the colours of the flowers almost jump out at you, and the skies are just a vivid blue, I've never seen skies so blue as in Toowoomba on days like yesterday.
Just as well I did the photo shoot yesterday, today is cloudy and chilly! | | |
| Just a couple more images from Samantha's Pregnancy photo shoot I'm still playing with the images from Sam's pregnancy photo shoot, here's a couple more.

| Fascinating Shadows, More images from Samantha's Recent Pregnancy Photo ShootI love the light in this shot, and I just added lace gloves and tied a strip of white fine net around Sam's Bra to give a soft, dreamy effect. Sam has beautiful porcelain skin which I think just looks great in this shot.

We did all the images with Sam sitting and lit with this beautiful soft light streaming in from the window through lacy curtains, and I tried doing images lit by plain lace at first, and then we swapped the plain lace curtains with lace curtains with a distinct pattern on them, and I was fascinated by the patterns of light that fell on Sam's skin, so after the photo shoot, I began to manipulate and play and edit the photos and I had this idea that sprang from me seeing framed "baby bump" plaster moulds of friends who had their "baby bump" immortalised and moulded in clay and then framed. I came up with the versions below which kind of have a three dimensional look, and which had the look of an image transferred onto art or textured paper.

| Samantha's Spring Composite Samantha is due to give birth to her first baby any day now, and I was so excited when she rang me and asked me to do her pregnancy portfolio. So before we started that, I decided to do up Samantha's Modelling Portfolio into a jazzy composite for her to keep. I wanted to do a composite for Samantha's Pregnancy Portfolio so this mean she will have constancy in her photographic library.
