some things that i have been really enjoying recently. some new, some old...alllll good. :)
1. sweet leaf sweet tea. yumm! this stuff is so tasty! all the other flavors are also really good! 2. craig ferguson. seriously....this guy makes me laugh out loud!! he's so funny!! him and conan are tied at #1. 3. honey lattes. mmmm... get it at peet's. 4. "the return of the prodigal son" by henri nouwen. this book has been sitting on my shelf unread for some time now (sorry pyang!). but i've been slowly working through it, chewing/thinking over ideas... really good. not done yet, but quite a feast so far. 5. p.s. i love you. saw it last week and it was such a pleasant surprise!! sad and funny...really sweet. and man, the guys in this film...easy on the eyes. oh my! 6. my fruit and veggie box from capay farms. beets are in season and i've been eating those red nuggets of deliciousness in abundance! mmm.. 7. the public library. this

could spend hours in there. 8. one tree hill. yes...i admit it. please don't judge me! i watched the first season waay back when but stopped before season 2. it's been a long while...i just came across it again while searching for a song on youtube. now it's one of the things that i record! how come lucas and peyton can't work it out?!?!?!
went to a concert at my church friday night for one of my fav worship leaders. woot woot!! it was a good time. took some pics afterwards...even shook his hand! whoop! call me a teeny-girl, call me a groupie, but i was glad that i got to look him in the eye and thank him for leading us in worship. (admit it somegirl, you liked getting his autograph! ) also...over the years with really good artists, his album is one of the two that i have given a comment for in itunes. i usually never...but it was too good. please check out this underrated musician...you won't be disappointed. if you are...email me and i'll pray for you.

and lastly...the blurry pic after i yelled "lincoln!" at the side of the line. (btw...was it rude to do that? oops.) not the best, but i had to post it since it took so many tries to get him to look at me. i couldn't let it go to waste!
so i know and get that justin timberlake is pretty talented and i give him props for really stepping up from his nsync days. i think some of his music is really catchy and i can't deny that i haven't started shaking the booty when some of his songs starts on the radio. but for some reason, he's always just been the "pretty boy" to me. the pretty boy who records dance/rap songs with timbaland. i have many friends that don't let me forget that he is bringing sexy back nice and strong...but still, nothing too big nothing too special. so...i got reba mcentire's "duets" album and it is with this album that i am seeing mr. jt in a new light. i am LOVING the track "the only promise that remains" which he co-wrote for reba. hmm....co-wrote and produced. nice jt. i'm impressed. good for you...way to branch out. so i'm slow getting on this train, and probably won't be wearing an "i heart justin timberlake" shirt anytime soon, but it's nice to hear how he's musically diverse and i'm interested in what else he's going to bring in the future. take a listen... i actually think this video from oprah's show is better than the track on the cd. soooo prettty... oh and btw, the rest of the album rocks. reba is so cool.
had a fantabulous time last weekend camping at joshua tree national park! who knew rocks in the desert could be so much fun?! seriously, i've never been rock climbing or scrambling before...and i've been missing out! it was a good time...for reals, yo. i think i may even like it better than snowboarding?! perhaps... and joshua tree? the desert and rocks were amazing....the actual joshua tree...not so amazing. haha.. oh and btw...one of the climbing guides informed me that U2 didn't take their album pic here, but rather by a joshua tree in nevada. wha?? i feel jipped.
we scrambled up Pixie Rock and this is the view from the top. minus the orcs, dark sky, and gigantic flaming eyeball, it looks a little like where frodo and sam had to go through, no?

this is bethany. she belayed me on my first climb. i sort of fell after 2 steps up and almost peed in my pants. she held me up. after i got back down, i gave her the biggest hug ever. we love bethany.
i've gotten so fond of posting pics of my messed up knees...so just one more for the road. right knee got a little bit better from the snowboarding bruise, but i just bruised up another part of it AND my left knee as well from the rocks. oh well...there's still some time until shorts season, yeah?
