Check out my new ink, it's pretty beautiful, more than what I had expected. Praise Jesus, for it is only going to be on me for like.....the rest of my life and possibly in the sweet by and by-- only G-d knows.

Incidentally, if you all are even remotely interested in good old timey music, such as...folk, bluegrass and he-ha- much like myself. I strongly recommend going to see the Carolina Chocolate Drops in concert, and by all means catch one of their work-shops. Astounding state presence, and personality on and off the stage, and talent that puts the best of "us" to shame. Here's a breif background on them: they are the only African-American folk bands around these day's, and are successfully spreading the hope of reviving their roots and culture to our future generation and spark up some of the old folks, and well, for everyone else as well outside of the African-American community. They are under a phenomenal record label called "Music Maker" (www.musicmaker.org) which "is a nonprofit orginization dedicated to helping the true pioneers and forgotten heros of Southern musical traditions gain recognition and meet their day to day needs." Which is freaking brilliant and beautiful. I strongly suggest to check it out and most definitely support them in every, and anyway possible. Anyway, atleast go and check out the Carolina Chocolate Drops and their whole scence (they definitely make a good and worthwhile show), and go from there. Needless to say, the Lord is beautiful and the Lord is good, and has blessed me with a beautiful and blissful weekend.

Also, prayer need! My family and I are strongly considering driving down the the Yucatan Jungle in Mexico sometime this year to help out, and minister to the the Mayan Natives there. Please offer up incense unto the Lord's throne for us concerning that!!!

Saying goodbye just never seems real to me.
It never seems right. It's so crazy how people can float into our lives (like little butterflies to a flower) and float on out just as abrupt as they float on in. Being a traveler, I should be useto this kind of thing; but it's something, I don't think I ever will get use to. I think it will always be some sort of a shock to me. Like a film, or novel you find yourself heavily engrossed in that it becomes so real and so natural to you, that you never expect it to end. And when it does, you're left feeling empty like a sudden death. I've honestly never liked goodbyes. I know a lot of people who claim to not believe in "goodbyes", so they never say it. But whether you say it aloud or not- it's all the same. It means someone is leaving you, and you may never know if you will ever see them again- until you do. I've never liked goodbyes. Goodbyes make you miss even the most awful things about people, or places; like the stentch of stale ciggarettes and B.O. and patchouli. Simply because it embodies a person, or even a few, that you hold dear in your photographic memory.

I will miss them while they're gone. I've got an awfully long and lonely month ahead of me....with no replacements, not even a pair of lowsy ones. Good and merciful Father, my Lord, grant me strength and patience for this month of silence that is before me.

The craziest Winter Shaenah has ever seen; all started with this big icestorm here in Boyertown, Pa. The ice was so thick on the trees that it snapped most of them in half, blocking the roads, and busting the powerlines and phone lines. Which left us with no electricity, running water or sewage for over three days. My dad started our generators up. They had enough power to run the electric furnaces and thats about it. Mrs. Wendy (the lady of the house) called up a friend who happened to have an extra generator. So, my dad and Bob (the man of the house) went and picked it up. My dad proceeded to put it relatively close to our, already running generator, outside, but Bob insisted to put it in the garage/basement to protect it since it was brand new and belonged to a friend. My dad obeyed. By doing so (unknowingly of course) caused the C02 fumes from the generator to rise into the vents and flooded the house for a whole day and a half.

The electricity finally came on yesterday. We had a wonderful day. Howie, Amber, my sister Julie and I all went up to the attic to watch a movie really late at night (maybe 1 0r 2 in the morning) and realized an abnoxious beeping sound. We couldn't find were it was coming from so we ignored it. Until finally the lady of the house woke up and found that it was the smoke detector. It read that there was C02 in the home. The fire department came, the EMT's came asked us a plate full of questions, and finally after an hour and a half we were back safely in the home.

Also, Howie was coughing up blood. My mom and Bob were both nauseous. I was incredibly light headed and short of breath. Everyone else was also light headed. But thanks to the good Lord, we are all safe and well.

This has been one hell of a week.

Ah, and to top it all off: I went sledding for the first time. Also, having no electricity was actually a beautiful experience. I felt so connected to those who have gone on before me. The Indian, and the settlers. Those who lived real lives of hardship, and suffering, and thoroughly appreciated life nontheless. Those who excepted the roses with the thorns. Those who understood that beauty also comes through pain. Anyway, it was beautiful to see two modern day families work together as one blood, one family. It also was a real humbling experience.

Infact, when I get my tree house, I think I shall make it strictly primitive (with the exception of a wood burning stove and insollation).

The ground is now covered with blanket of flawless white fleece. I love Lady Winter, she is so kind and beautiful.

Also, either Winter had an early arrival, or Autumn just wasn't giving up, or perhaps both. Because this year they crossed together. There was flawless white snow on the ground, and the most vibrant colors I have ever seen in my life, covering every tree. The jappaneese maples were in full color- a brick red with deep brown bark- the appearance of a silhouette. There were bright greens, yellows, and oranges cascading the streets. The asphalt with yellow and white lines never looked so beautiful. The Autumn colors, and the white of winter complimented eachother so well. There was an emphasis on every living thing. Because the trees were in full bloom, the snow couldn't cover the ground completely. So there were bright colored circles with white outline all around the trees from the leaves that were falling- Oh! It was gorgeous!

I didn't even have to take a long walk to experience this- it was everywhere. I couldn't escape it. Oh, it was breathtaking!
