But we had an extended rehearsal and worse still I had double bass lessons in the morning so my hand ached A LOT. The strings on the bass is SUPER THICK. goodness me.
The concert is in 4 days. My first ever performance Oh, the violins and STANDING! hahahah. They don't have chairs for them. Only the cellos
And we seriously need more violas and violin2 people. There's just too many cellos. More double bass people would be good as well. But I think I have to play for the orchestra next term coz they don't have bass players. To think I wasn't very musical back in Singapore.
All because Mr Thomas asked me whether I would like to learn a 2nd instrument and I said double bass. Then the double bass teacher was somehow in school and he pulled me to see her.

Anyways, it's all good now.
I can go for squash training before the concert :DDD
Giwon, Georgina, Judy and Mizuki are coming to watch! But Ms Little is leaving the school

oh darn it, i have an assignment on flim music due next monday and i have 1 whole page left to do.
gotta get started on it

see ya

spoiler

this is badddd.
i know what happened in Breaking Dawn even before i read the book! All because i guessed it when jennifer asked me to guess what happened and somehow i got it right.
And today wanchi told me another thing about Breaking Dawn which was even worse. Mannn this sucks.
I should go buy the book this weekend if it isn't sold out. Giwon bought it alreadyyyy. Oh, she's gonna teach me korean and i'll have to teach her chinese! hahahahaha. She told me today that Chinese is very important in Korea and a lot of people learn it (which is reallyyyyy odd!).

Epsom Music presents
"A Little Farewell"
showcasing the orchestra, concert band, string ensemble and guest performers Adora Voce
Students: $5
Adults: $10
12 August, Tuesday, 7.30pm, Ray Freedman Arts Centre

pls come! even though i don't know who is gonna read this but i'll still put it on.
damn there's an extended rehearsal this friday and i hope shujun comes if not i'll be standing there all alone.

nights

Burning Up

It sucks when you have an injury but you only feel the pain when you're running. And I have to take a lot of time off just to not make it any worse. Worse still I have flat feet and I'm not used to the new shoe soles that were made for me.
I can't afford to waste anymore time, people are already catching up with me.

I wish I started squash earlier. I wish I hadn't spent so much time on swimming.

I don't want to talk about yesterday.
I feel that I really need to punish myself.
I need to run and lose weight.
I need to forget about everything and start all over again

wait till my injury is over
just wait

Tuesday, July 29, 2008

i went to the podiatrist(foot specialist) this morning. It's confirmed that i have flat feet and i have this condition below.

so i have to go to a sports physician next thursday.

Compartment syndrome is a painful condition that results when pressure
within the muscles builds to dangerous levels. This prevents
nourishment from reaching nerve and muscle cells.

Muscle groups in the arms, hands, legs, feet, and buttocks can be
affected. Within these muscle groups are nerves and blood vessels. The
muscle groups are covered by tough membrane (fascia), which does not
readily expand. The whole unit is called a compartment.

If pressure within the compartment gets too high (for example, from too
much swelling or bleeding after surgery or injury), the lack of oxygen
to the tissue can damage blood vessels and nerve and muscle cells.

Anderson SJ (eds): Care of the Young Athlete. Rosemont, IL, American
Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeon, 2000.)

Compartment syndrome can be either acute or chronic. Acute
compartment syndrome is a medical emergency. Without treatment, it can
lead to paralysis, loss of limb or death. Chronic compartment syndrome
is not a medical emergency.

it sounds scary but it's not very serious. The shins get painful after intensive training or distance running coz of my muscles/flat feet. I'll have to go find out. Now i have to ice it everytime after i play.

bio and math test tmr.
gotta study
til the dawn

omg i haven't updated for so long.

school started already and i still want the holidays to come back I'd rather play squash all day and run than go to school and have boring lessons like geography. Speaking of which, i have an internal coming up

Fund raising tournament yesterday was quite fun. hahahaha
I had to play an extra game with the boys coz one of them had an injury and i "replaced" him. In the end i played 4 games instead of 3.
Me and Hayley played a spectacular 5 setter AGAIN so everyone was watching. I thought i would lose to her again but good thing i didn't. I heaved a BIGGGG sigh of relief after that game. hahahahaha

I have training with Carol tmr , i hope she doesn't say anything

funfunfun

i went to watch Narnia with Judy today. Yes I know I'm really slowwww. There wasn't a time we could go together so we had to separate.
It was good, just that Prince Caspian's accent is so annoying. WHERE IS HE FROM?
Then they went to my house to have lunch since they wanted to try indonesian food. hahahaha. it was fun. Too bad we didn't take any pics.

Greta asked me for a game but we didn't know who booked it so we ended up not playing we are playing tmr morning instead. I'm FIVE points to E1! YESSSSS!
