Today is day two of training my replacement.  I'm hoping she comes today because yesterday was a very stressful day (many people calling in sick) and I think she got scared, even though I did all the work and she won't have to start out doing as much of the work of finding subs as I do.

Other than that I think she did well.  She's very nice and easy to be around, so that's really good for both me and the library.

I can't wait to pierce my nose this week!  I'm a bit sad that I'll have to go by myself, but oh well.  I did my tongue piercing by myself. ;)

As I posted in MDC today, I'm having a rough day.  I had no idea I would end up a blithering, slobbering, sobbing idiot today, but I luckily neglected to put on make up, so at least I don't look like Tammy Faye.

I'm so sad about leaving work.  I'm also happy, but it is really sad.  I have had several problems (work related) this morning and they sent me over the edge, totally.  I started bawling and couldn't really stop.

I knew this would happen, but I didn't think it would happen today, since I have 4 more days left next week.

I got to work today and was very disappointed to realize that I'm the only one here yet.  Some days I like that, I can get a lot of work done, etc. but some days I come in with stories to tell.  This was one of those days.

We found out that the woman who's replacing me at work is actually an old family friend.  My husband went to elementary school with her son.  I guess it's a small world in this town.

I'm ready for Christmas, though I haven't wrapped any of the presents.  I'm going to dye my hair tonight, a funky red (bright) and burgundy.  Then, next week I'm getting my nose pierced!  Hoorah!

Well, we're all recovered from the Library Bond failure.  It's still sad that our community will be screwed in the coming years because we won't have the funds to have a nice library system.

Today is the Christmas Celebration Extravaganza at work.  We had a Christmas breakfast for the CEO's people and this afternoon we're having a bigger party at lunch.

Aidan got some of his Christmas presents last night.  We had our Christmas party with my MIL since she'll be out of town for the next few weeks.  He loved the train set she gave him, but he hates it when we turn it on, he wants to push the train himself!    He's so funny!

Whaaa!  Our Library Bond election was last night and we lost.  Well, the community lost really.  I just can't believe we can't even get people to vote for Libraries and schools anymore.  A school bond was held yesterday as well and lost.

So, the boss is pretty sad today and really all of us are.  What sucks even more is that she has to do all of these TV interviews and her eyes are kinda red and swollen because I think she keeps having to go into her office to have a good cry.  Funny how much interest the TV producers are showing now that the damn thing has failed.  Too bad we didn't get this interest before the election.

I'm glad I won't be here much longer.  I honestly don't know where they will get the money to keep up with technology and the regular wear and tear on the furniture...not to mention our paychecks.  I'm glad I won't have these worries, but how sad for my child and the children of this community if we can't have a decent library system because of the priviledged, ignorant voters who don't want to contribute to society or pay for anything.

Sorry, it's just so disappointing.  We worked so hard on that campaign.
