Legacy of Kain - destination, 5 stars One of thee, if not THEE, greatest game series ever is the "Legacy of Kain" series. The story line is extremely deep and it also tends to use a very wide vocabulary of words. Some of which may be known, other may need some looking up. Don't feel bad, I had to look up quite a few myself.
The people that have been involved with making this game are MAJOR stars of the screen, film, voice acting, and more! Go to the link at the bottom of this review to find out more about just WHO helped to make it. You'll be amazed!
The story line of the game folds over it's self more times than I can count. Usually this is a BAD thing since almost always it ends up getting messed up royaly. This is NOT the case in this matter! In fact, it makes PERFECT sense. You will even find yourself reflecting upon events in the game so as to be ABLE to figger out the storyline. It's THAT incredible!
The one, and only, major problem for this game is that it's storyline spans across FIVE games. Why is this a problem? It's a problem because it also spans across THREE consoles!
The first game, "Legacy of Kain: Blood Omen", came out on the "Playstation" console.
The second, "Soul Reaver: Legacy of Kain", came out on the "Dreamcast" console. I've heard some people say they had it for the "Playstation 2" console. I don't know.
The third game, "Legacy of Kain: Blood Omen 2", came out on the "Playstation 2" console.
The fourth game, "Sould Reaver 2: Legacy of Kain", came out on the "Playstation 2" and "Xbox" consoles.
The fifth installment of this game, "Legacy of Kain: Defiance", came out on the "Playstation 2" and "Xbox" consoles.
The fifth game is supposed to be the final installment of the series. Supposedly. I haven't had a chance to play it yet, so there is no way for me to even really guess.
These games are worth going to the local used bin and/or pawn shop and/or used video game store to get them. It probably wouldn't cost more than $10 to get the first game. If you already have a "PS2" than you can play all but one of the games. The one for the "Dreamcast" console serves a problem in finding a console to play it. Not many of the people who bought the system are willing to part with it. Whether it works or not...
ALL of these games are hard to find. Why? Well, each game that came out in the series sold less than it's predesesor. It seems more than likely it's because if you don't play the game from the beggining, you will have a REALLY hard time understanding what's going on. IF you can figger it out...
Well, that's it! I give this game a 5- out of 5. ;P
