| Relationship OverloadI am still processing... - the 3 weeks with my favourite cousins, aunts, uncles and grandmother. I miss them so. - the weekend camping with 20+ new friends. - the days with 30+ coworkers, all asking how the trip went.
Feeling kinda disconnected with the people I should be close to and trying to make time to spend with each of to reconnect.
God is always there too, but the brain is finding it hard to settle down so the heart can listen.
Maybe sleep can help heal me.

| Jet Lag or AlcoholismI had a beer to make me sleepy so I can fall asleep early enough to get to work tomorrow.

| Limited time onlyNow starts the mental re-adjustment to life at home... Because if I don't start now, I might just stay. I hate making my family feel guilty for not making time for me, or just giving money out of guilt. Hoping that's just in my head. I really just want to enjoy the time here, so my hope was that it would be convenient and things would be done because they want to, not because they have to. I guess it's inevitable when you only visit once every decade and you're only one of 2 grandchildren who are not in the same country as all the others. There should be a race to be the one to visit Canada cuz you can bet I'll spoil them rotten - and not because I have to, but because I want to. | | |
| Strangely familiarMy dreams have been filled with the voices of my relatives which I haven't heard for 9 years or more, now fills my ears everyday. The sights and sounds and smells and all so familiar yet new. Seeing things I had forgotten with new eyes. Sensory overload. I've been sleeping a lot. | | |
| Not a coincidence, part 2?Traffic going home from work was a little crazy as a truck apparently flipped over going down Boundary hill. Lucky I still made to Monitor King in time to get my/Kevin's LCD fixed. Funny thing is that I happened to mentioned to the lady there that I was heading to Malaysia and she asked where. I say Sabah and she's like "I just came from there 2 weeks ago"... and not only that but she says it in fluent Hakka! So sweet! I got to practice some Hakka for about 15-20 minutes, chatting with this lady, and she made a great recommendation for a gift to bring back to my family. So if anyone is going to Costco anytime soon, please get me a few kilos of dried cranberries before Saturday. Apparently people love it there. And it's good for you. And Kev, if you're reading this, bring $88 cash and you don't have to pay tax. That's right, we Hakkas look out for each other.
Peace.
