I got my braces put in today...

A hour and a half they spent gluing on the brackets and putting in the wire. It felt ok at first, but that night when I got home I was in intense pain. Damn braces hurt. Here's a picture:
On a side note Lunar seems to be slowiing down a bit on their subbing speed for Bleach. It's Friday early early morning and the new episode isn't out yet.

Ok! Back from Vacation, with pictures!
Ok, lets get started.

For Vacation this year my family and I went down to Southern California to visit colleges. Monday we drove all the way down there and stayed at this hotel in Claremont. The next two days we visted the Claremont colleges. It was mostly for my sister but I got a good look at these colleges too.

Well, that takes us up to Wednesday where we went to Universal Studios! Oh, I had a lot of fun that day. We got in for free because my uncle plays Shrek there.

Ok. Awesome picture. I'm the one with my face being covered up by the ogre.
We went on all the rides and saw all the attractions. I liked The Mummy rollercoaster and The Jurrassic Park River Ride the best. Those two are awesome.

Yup, here I am outside the Jurrassic Park Ride, across from The Mummy ride. Everything good is in the lower lot.

I look horrendous in this picture but this was taken while on the Jurrasic Park ride so it's cool anyways.

Also went on the world famous studio tour. Got to see the set for War of the Worlds. That was really neat because all the wreckage was still there and it was still smouldering. Got a few pictures of that I don't feel like putting up.
Yes, here's Jaws, right as he comes out of the water. My sister took this and she got sprayed.

Lots of fun at Universal. The next day my family went to Six Flags Magic Mountain. We got in for free there, because my grandmother plays grandmother Tweety there.
Here she is in the parade. She gets to drive a little car with Tweety in the back.

Yeah, the only big ride we went on at Six Flags was that big wooden rollercoaster. I was scared out of my mind because I'm affraid of all rollercoasters. Also, it was hot as hell that entire week and the wait to get on the River Rapids ride was over an hour and a half while the ride was only like 90 seconds long. HUGE waste of time.

Here I am playing DDR at Six Flags. I'm wearing a Spiderman shirt I got from Universal.

Saturday and Sunday we stayed with my grandmother and uncle up at there house in the mountains. That was fun. Sunday afternoon we drove back up the state and returned to San Francisco. I slept in my own bed that night. Good times.

Last entry before I leave
Isn't it interesting? Would this be what you call ironic? Perhaps. I find it funny, atleast from the context that I have. Is there more going on outside my sight? Possibly. I like to know what is going on, in a way, I like to be able to control it. A game, perhaps. It could be my  interest in the organization The Patriots. Selection for Societal Sanity maybe even...

What is an ace-in-the-hole? That is the key to absolute victory. Can you loose with it? But of course. Everything has been laid down. I can only hope the pieces can be put together as I envisioned.

I went over the fact that I'm not mad in the last entry, but... why would I do this if I wasn't?

Aim High 2005: Post Notes and Answers

1885
A few days into this summer Paula pointed out that 1885 had been written all over the school yard. Hell, she wasn't looking for someone to blame, she was looking for someone to investigate. Hell, I was that man. I saw this as a challenge to riddle and problem solving, ect, ect...

Anyway, after Wikipedia had failed me(!!!) I was stumped. There I was in the computer lab, with the volunteers, Annie, and Ken. I logged up google but had no idea what to search for. 1885? Millions of results. Than Ken told me, "Why not try searching for San Francisco and 1885?"

3 or 4 pages into the new mess I had created with Ken's help I found a page with Yick Wo in the title. Hell, that was the name of the school, this must have been what I was looking for. It was there I learned the story of Yick Wo and his laundry mat having to be fined for being made of wood.

I spread this story like wild fire amung the children and other volunteers. I even brought it up to Ken and Paula who were hanging around at lunch in the yard. "Do you have any idea who did it?" Paula asked. Why no, no I did not. Feeling slightly disgruntled I watched Mike and Robert play basket ball where I came to my conclusion: Paula was the one who made me search, Ken was the one who helped me search... DAMN THE PATRIOTS. It was all a game.

I spread my thoughts along the volunteers. They all said I was crazy, mad. And it went that way for a week or so when Ken came to me in private and told me that he was infact the mastermind behind the entire 1885 fiasco. He had not operated alone, infact Paula was involved in this scenario. Others who knew about this were Andrea, Kevin(TA) and a few teachers whose names Ken did not disclose to me.

There it was, I was proved right, not crazy. Sane, genius. Ken had come to me because he wanted to use the 1885(and the sound on the phone, which I was not involved in) to create the illusion of a ghost. Well, he wanted more. His crown jewl, the cherry on his cake, was to have an actual sighting. Using Paula's abiltiy to have all the damn keys he wanted to put a dark figure in the storage room that looks over the cafeteria.

He offered me the position of this, "dark figure" and I gladly accepted. This was planned for the day of the theft, but because of that it was pushed back to the next Monday. Ken gave me a cowboy hat(apparently he wanted the ghost to be the Sherif PH who came to fine Yick Wo) and sent me to go up to the dark room. A few minutes into the lunch service I appeared. A dark sweater covering my face, me wearing my black jacket, and the cowboy had covering my hair, there was no recognition of me.

I stood there in the window for about 15 seconds, stepped away, and ran. I left the cowboy hat in the room and went home. I left my jacket and Ken's sweater there. My parents wondered why I was home but I just told them I was there for lunch. I used this cover to tell the other volunteers when I returned to Aim High that day.

Maybe I'll add more later...

Today was my last day of Aim High this summer...

I'll write in some explanations in a upcoming post but for the mean time I'll just say I went to go see Charlie and the Chocolate Factory today and it was pretty good. Several things were not as good as in the original film but overall a solid movie.
