| well folks, i'm sick. however, i am gratiously approaching the end of this sickness. hopefully...yeah, we'll see how that goes later. one more game of football and it'll all be over. a bittersweet ending, a bittersweet ending indeed. there'll be bigger and better things on the road ahead, so i'm not worried.

| The place: Houston. The Astrodome to be more specific. You missed a good one, folks. This is history in the making. Rather, it's already history. Assuming you'll have kids one day, you should tell them about it.
The Atlanta Braves entered the Division series riding on a 14 year streak. Their work in Atlanta against the Astros proved to be dissapointing for manager Bobby Cox, finishing out their stay in the Big Peach with a win and a loss. Upon entering Houston, the Bravos were met with an outstanding defense hosted by the Astros. Being the good hosts they are, they let Atlanta stay in it for two games, only to let them down with a sudden death win in what was probably the better part of two games.
Yes, you heard that right, two games. Why, you ask? 18 innings is why. The standard 9 just wasn't enough for the Braves to tango with their Texan companions tonight. Each player, however, didn't give up the fight. A grand slam here, a lame homerun there, and you've got yourself a heck of a fight. I hope you T-VOed this one, because it's definitely a keeper.
You're still young Braves, there's always next year. What say we make it 15? | | |
