Smoky Mountain High

A few photos from our recent trip to Gatlinburg:

100_0650 My four little golfers

Wow, finally a chair for Grampy!

Anyone who knows me, knows I collect pigs.  Well, this is something I don't have in my collection:  a pig hairball!

100_0645

I thought this was really cool!  A horse made entirely of wire coat hangers!

Grampy with two of his girls.

The sun was trying to peek through a very cloudy day.

Just a few of my photos.  Grampy has more on his unworthyofhisgrace site.

@Willowlost - Thanks!  I think they are gorgeous! Teehee!

@Paulinagirl57 - We think they are cute too!  Sunday was not such a good day.  Mr Gene was and still is sick and I was too tired from keeping 2 of my girls to go to church.  I know, I'm a delinquent!  I hate missing church - the rest of the week seems all wrong.

@MRCDM - We really did have a good time.  Maybe next time it will be just me and Grampy and a fishing pole!  Ha!

@okiepugs - Yep, you got it.  When they are all 4 together it takes all 6 adults(parents and grandparents)  to corral them!  I love it though!

@copperknob929 - Grampy would love it if you went fishing with him.  I fish with Ben every time he goes, he just can't leave me at home......... probably afeared of what I'd get into.  I can come teach you to hook a minnow in the lips, change your hook, take your fish off the hook (that's one I still struggle with, I want to wash my hands immediately and not in lake water), and fetch.  I don't put worms on hooks tho, just can't seem to touch them.........yeesh, yucky.  I need to state my own worm farm, this morning after the rains, we had earthworms as big as baby snakes on the back patio.

What's the verdict on Grampy, is he ok?  I know he had a high fever last night.

@okiepugs - Actually I can do all that fishy stuff.  I used to fish with my Grandmother and my Daddy some.  I've even been fishing with Grampy.  I don't like baiting hooks either, but I got really good at putting squid on the hook when we went deep sea fishing.  There is something gross about putting those still wiggling worms on a hook.  yuck!

Grampy doesn't have pneumonia (they don't think), but his temp just went back up to 103 again tonight.  He's on a really strong antibiodic and cough med, so maybe tomorrow he'll be a little better.  Thanks for asking - just pray for him.

@willVI - You're welcome!   Come by anytime!

@copperknob929 - That's great about Grampy not having pneumonia, we've had several really bad instances of it around here.  Our accounts payable supervisor ended up in intensive care in Tulsa because of a bronchial infection she let go too long.  My doc always gives me a shot of something, not sure what it is, at the first sign of it, I'm so prone to bronchial infections since I moved here, allergy related the doc thinks, I never had it until I moved to the land of trees.  Keep an eye on our Grampy and feed him plenty of Chicken Noodle soup, there truly are healing qualities in it, according to my doc.

Have things settled down yet? The Tigers had a great season, lets hope they can keep it up next year. Be careful Grampy doesn't try to share his crud. he he

Have a good week my friend.

@MRCDM - Well, settled down some I guess.  The Tigers are still on the front pages of our newspaper here.  It was pretty awesome how everybody came together to cheer on our team.  Never seen so much blue in all my born days!!  It was pretty cool.  My brother was at the games and he said  even tho we lost., the experience was just unbelievable.  I am trying to stay out of Grampy's face, but I really think it's not contagious.  He seems to be some better tonite, but still has fever.

Try to be good, I know it's hard, but try!!  Ha!

@MRCDM - We are hanging in there.  Gene is really busy trying to get caught up after being sick.  I saw my beautiful babies today - they are so sweet.  One of my daughters and her two girls were in a wreck a few days ago, but God was very gracious - they weren't hurt too bad.  Micaela has a few loose teeth, Jaedyn wasn't hurt at all.  Julie hurt her knee and hit her face on the airbag.  She just learned she's pregnant again, but she thinks the baby's okay.  The car however is another story - it was totaled.  It could have been sooo much worse, since Julie and Micaela were not wearing their seatbelts.  (I tried to teach them right!)

Anyways......... how are you and yours?

@MRCDM - Demo derby?  LOL! Everythings okay.  Everyone's doing pretty good with the exception of Jill, of course.  She is getting her new prosthetic leg  on Wednesday, Lord willing, but her bone at the end of her stump still hurts her alot.  Thanks for asking and please keep her in your prayers.  How goes your life at the moment?  Hope you have a good week also!
