This is the beginning of the end...Quite a no. of people asked me this question: do you prefer to work or do you prefer to study?

I believe no one can avoid work.  One should not complain and should learn to appreciate life. It's just that...I've already started to miss school.

Haven’t written in here for such a long time…a happy belated: 2006, CNY, valentines and bday to myself =p

Mid-term equation:

Mid-term = rush = taxi = rush = heavy big bag = rush

Results:

On 24/2/06 (Fri), a notice was posted up saying that the dept was going to mail our results to our home address within next week.  For the whole week, every time I opened the letterbox, I was mega-scared.  That was one torturing week.  Then on 4/3/06 (Sat), the mail man pressed the bell and handed me a registered post…I was like…oh NOO. Turned out to be false alarm, just some stupid letter.  Monday’s afternoon SG (7/3/06), some people got their results already. OMG… mine should be waiting for me at home.  Opened the mailbox with trembling hands. I PASSED! Well, got the highest and lowest mark in my 3+ years of law-training. The highest mark: have not received such a high mark since my RS test. The lowest mark: never had such a bad mark in LLB, letz just keep it this way, dun ever go lower than this.

Birthday:

It was a memorable one.  Totally unexpected.  Thanks to all of you who remembered =). Special thanks to rbyy =) sorry that I was asleep and didn’t pick up the phone.  Just wanna say…argh! I am getting OLD! (ok…I just GOTTA say this every year)

News:

There are just too many pieces of unexpected and saddening news.  Just hope that the rest of 2006 will be a good year for everyone! Stay strong and be happy! May all monsters and evil spirits be gone in a flash!

Photos:

Have been looking through photos, esp. ever since I worked on the group page collage. Hehe, have we changed?

Had my last civil advocacy class today (time flies...still remember my 375mL VITA lemon tea tutor?) Next week will be criminal advocacy exam in High Court! A REAL court with REAL judges. Omg. So scary.

Next week is a week of revision classes.  I so have not finished revision to go for revision classes.  The week after that would be my lovely exams. Hmm...Just can't believe that one semester is nearly gone!

What else...court visit last tues, which was quite fun.  Attended a pretty ferocious court which held 3 extremely impatient people, including the Magistrate, the court clerk and the court interpreter.  Firm's Christmas dinner on Wed night and learnt horse betting, which was quite fun, and I won a total of $9.50!!! hahahaha~ Simply adore the sound of galloping horses.

I'm...dreaming of a white...christmas....

Hectic week. Fortunately, civil mid-term was handed in on time. *phew*

Nipped this from Cherry =p

Our English will change!

The European Commission has just announced an agreement whereby English will be the official language of the European Union rather than German, which was the other possibility.

As part of the negotiations, the British Government conceded that English spelling had some room for improvement and has accepted a 5- year phase-in plan that would become known as "Euro-English".

In the first year, "s" will replace the soft "c". Sertainly, this will make the sivil servants jump with joy. The hard "c" will be dropped in favour of "k". This should klear up konfusion, and keyboards kan have one less letter. There will be growing publik enthusiasm in the second year when the troublesome "ph" will be replaced with "f". This will make words like fotograf 20% shorter.

In the 3rd year, publik akseptanse of the new spelling kan be expekted to reach the stage where more komplikated changes are possible. Governments will enkourage the removal of double letters which have always ben a deterent to akurate speling. Also, al wil agre that the horibl mes of the silent "e" in the languag is disgrasful and it should go away.

By the 4th yer people wil be reseptiv to steps such as replasing "th" with "z" and "w" with "v".

During ze fifz yer, ze unesesary "o" kan be dropd from vords kontaining "ou" and after ziz fifz yer, ve vil hav a reil sensibl riten styl.  Zer vil be no mor trubl or difikultis and evrivun vil find it ezi tu understand ech oza. Ze drem of a united urop vil finali kum tru.

Und efter ze fifz yer, ve vil al be speking German like zey vunted in ze forst plas.
