| Sarah Jessica Parker's first role
since "Sex and the City" will
be in theaters in less than 4 days! Yes, I am actually leaving
work in the middle of the day for a couple of hours to go see "The
Family Stone" on Friday. SJP was the only member of the cast
nominated for a Golden Globe for the movie...I CAN'T WAIT

| In the words of Jessica Simpson:
"23 is only 2 years away from 25 which qualifies as mid-twenties"...or
something like that, I really don't make it a point to listen to
Jessica Simpson
When did I get so old? The day was long, I worked. I had
lunch at a place we have a partnership with, so it was pretty much a
work visit too. Since I was going to have to be out for about 10
hours today, I took my supervisor's sugestion of running errands or
doing something for myself for a couple of hours to break up the
day. So, I stopped by the Plaza for shopping on the way to a
meeting. It was very nice to be greeted with cupcakes, ballons,
and flowers upon my return to the office. I guess my co-workers
had to do some shifting of my surprise b/c I kept changing what I would
be doing with my day.
Now for the extremely odd event of the day....My grandmother didn't
send me a card. I hope it's just late (and that she's
well...duh), because grandmas never forget birthdays....and I have
started to look forward to the card (and the money) every year.
Well tomorrow makes another long day....followed by a well deserved long weekend! Take care everyone....CLC

| I don't know how long I will be able to survive without my Gap
discount. Honestly, I save money by working there because I'm
still going to purchase as much as a regular customer as I did when I
worked there. While I regularly spent more than my paycheck, it
was a very fun place to work. I miss it! In my visit
yesterday evening, I asked the manager what the re-application process
looked like to go back as a part-time worker. She it wouldn't be
an issue and gave me an application. I will talk to my supervisor
at my full time job about starting out with weekends at Gap in
September. I doubt she will mind...as she understands my current
job isn't as social at times as I would prefer and while it has
perks....it's not a discount on clothes!
I picked up a few items on sale only to realize when I brought them
home that I already own each of them. While some would find it
uncessary to purchase duplicates, when something is comfortable, fits
my body and I'm confident in it...I say why not!
There were a surprising number of resources on living at home after
college and saving money to move out. When every I want to shop
excessively I try to picture my moving day (even though I will be
moving hand-me-down furniture)...I really need to stick to my
budget...I didn't think it would be this hard. It's also
difficult to find a place downtown or in the Plaza area (for under
$750!) with a large closet. Most of the buildings are from back
in the day when people didn't really have clothes (I guess b/c they had
to make them themselves...or something). Despite renovations,
ample closet space was put to the side. Nonetheless, the search
continues for the dream closet!!

| | Currently Watching Bewitched By Nicole Kidman, Will Ferrell, Shirley MacLaine, Michael Caine see related |
I was a little disappointed with Bewitched. The
previews were fun, and Derek and I made 4 different attempts to see the movie.
So perhaps I was just expecting too much. It's something I wouldn't have
minded putting off to DVD release. My dog is sleeping in my room tonight,
she has been scared of the storms since early this morning. Not only does
she need to go to the groomer, but snores like an elderly man....I love her and
will just deal with it.
I have a crush on the manager at my bank up the street. There was a
huge mistake with my first paycheck from work and I ended up having to meet
with the branch manager to start the process of getting my check
reissued. I was expecting some dude with a comb-over, not a young hottie
in a great Italian suit....the lines were clean, but it wasn't Armani (yes, I
checked the tag on his blazer when he left his chair).
