  • Teaching Children to Love Death!

I know I haven't posted anything for a while.  When I come across really shocking stories, shedding light on the truth of Islam, and the middle east situation, I want to post it so people will see in forums where it may be their only chance to see it.  I hope you find this as disturbing as I do.  Lets pray for the Palestinian people.

...at least until those 'evil Jews' get him. Well you've heard of Farfour the mouse, the Mickey Mouse look-alike that appeared on the Hamas children's television programme, Tomorrow's Pioneers. In one episode, Farfour was scolded for cheating in his exams by the show's presenter, Saraa. Farfour's excuse was that he had been unable to study because his school books were buried underneath the rubble of his house, which had been bulldozed by the Jews. Farfour, brandishing a toy AK-47, promised that Islam would "conquer the world", and that the battle would begin with "all of Palestine" and would move to all Arab lands now under foreign occupation. Unfortunately Farfour met an untimely end after he was beaten to death for refusing to sell his land to a Jew.

Quote: ""Farfour was martyred while defending his land," said Sara, the teen presenter. He was killed "by the killers of children," she added.

Saraa went on to say that every Palestinian hopes to die as a martyr and that martyrdom is "something to be proud of". A short time after Farfour's death, Nahoul the bee appeared on the programme. One particular episode drew world wide condemnation. This time it was not the programme's anti-Semitic tone which caused the controversy, rather it was their inhumane treatment of animals. Nahoul swung cats around by their tails and threw stones at lions in the zoo, in an apparent demonstration of how children should not behave. When Saraa later asked Nahoul who he would like to send greetings to on the 'holiday of sacrifice', he replied...

Quote: "Who should I convey greetings to, Saraa? Should I convey greetings to my brother, who was martyred in the first Intifada, at the hands of the Zionist Jews? Should I convey greetings to my second brother, who was martyred in the second Intifada? Should I convey greetings to my wounded brother, to my aunt, who was martyred because of the siege, or to her orphans? Who is there for me to greet, Saraa? I won't greet anyone. I am so sad, Saraa...

Saraa consoled Nahoul with the comforting words that, "we can all be sacrificed for the sake of the homeland". But alas, poor Nahoul! During the blockade of Gaza, those 'evil Jews' refused to let him out to receive medical treatment. Nahoul ended up dying a martyr's death, just like his brother, his second brother and his dear old aunt. A victim of the Zionist occupation. But Palestinian children need not fear. Assud the rabbit is here! Assud is yet another anti-Semitic character created by the show, who plans on destroying the Jews and then eating them, "Allah willing" of course...

Quote: "Sara: Why is your name Assud [lion] since you are a rabbit? Assud: A rabbit is a [nickname] for a bad person and coward. And I, Assud, will finish off the Jews and eat them, Allah willing.

It's horrific to think that Palestinian children are being subjected to this kind of death-cult propaganda. And it's not just Hamas that is to blame. Palestinian Authority TV, which is run by Mahmoud Abbas' Fatah party, has also been showing video clips glorifying martyrdom and encouraging Palestinians to murder Jews, even while President Abbas talks peace with Israeli Prime Minister Olmert. And this is the people upon whom the international community wants to bestow a state? It doesn't take much imagination to work out what sort of state that would end up being. So long as Palestinian leaders continue to indoctrinate their children in this culture of death and bloodshed, there will be no hope of peace in the Middle East. The Lord prophesied that the time would come when those that killed Jews would believe they were doing God a service (John 16:2).  And six hundred years later, a religion was born which openly calls for Jews and Christians to be killed. The only hope for true peace in the Middle East is through the Prince of Peace, Jesus Christ. Of the increase of His government and of peace, there shall be no end (Isaiah 9:6-7). As the saying goes, 'No Jesus - no peace, Know Jesus - know peace'. Do you know Jesus Christ? Do you have a personal relationship with Him? He died for you. Trust in Him for salvation today

  • Update on 'The End'!

I know I said I was one.  I've been still carrying out some conversations with various Xangans.  I did an update on my Mychurch blog, I'll post it to meditationswhilesojourning.blogspot.com site, and thought it needed to be on here just so the readership could see it.  This is sort of an accumulation of what I'm learning as I search the scriptures to find out God's plan.  I welcome any insights or suggestions.  Thnaks!

    _____________________

Okay... this has been waiting for a bit.  I feel like the LORD is clarifying things to me as I read the scriptures.  I still think that through the historical-chronological method of interpretation, that everything has been fulfilled.  The Dome of the Rock is the abomination of desolation on the temple mount.  The prophesy in Daniel 12:11, given in 583 B.C., comes out in 1290 day-years to 688 A.D., the year the Dome of the Rock was built.  The anitchrist is Islam, which has deceived 1.2 billion people, and the false prophet was/is Mohammed.  Now as John tells us, there are many forms of antichrist at work in the world (1 Jn 2:18).  But the point is, all has been fulfilled.  The time of the Gentiles was up when Israel regained control of the Temple Mount in 1967 at the six-day war.  The things at present with Bush's Annapolis summit are interesting, but I don't believe will work for the good.
The only thing that still needs to be done is the battle where Magog and the middle-eastern countries attack Israel.  These are essentially all the 'nations of the world' to the Biblical writers.  So I believe the battle of Magog and Armageddon are one and the same.  When Russia comes against Israel, the world will see God fight on behalf of Israel.  The LORD Jesus will return according to Zech. 14, stand upon the Mount of Olives, send his accompanying angelic host to get his people.  This will be when the first resurrection occurs!  At this point, when Jesus has decimated Russia, and the antichrist (Islam) with the glory of His coming - no one will believe the claims of Islam any more (2 Thess. 2;8).
Jesus will begin his millenial rule.  Zech. 6:12, 13 say that the branch will rebuild the temple, but v. 15 clarifies, in saying that the 'branch'~ Jesus, will use the nations of the earth to rebuild the temple.
"Then all the survivors from the nations that came against Jerusalem will go up year after year to worship the King, the LORD of Host, and to celebrate the Festival of Booths" (Zech. 14:16).

This will be a time unprecedented in the history of the earth.  The people on earth will enjoy the LORD's blessings as never before, as long as they remain true and faithful to the LORD.  If they fail to come and worship, celebrating the festival of booths, symbolizing the LORD's delieverance, then they will have no rain fall on their land (Zech 14:17-19).
Next is the part where I'm still not so sure.  I know that prophecy many times will double on itself in the outworking of God's redemption.  The initial reign of the Saints for the '1000 year' period, I think Skolfield and his group say was the time of the church, the time of gospel proclamation throughout the earth, while Satan (but not his demonic forces) was in the bottomless abyss.  During this time, (and today also, I might add) the saints reign with Christ, in Christ (Acts 2:33; Col. 3:1,3).

Evidently Skolfield says that in 1948 when the nation was regathered, this essentially began the apostasy of the church, which we see is definitely in full effect today.  And not only this, but Satan was released from the abyss, and since then he has been hard at work deceiving the nations.  But here I have a hard time reconciling this with Revelation 20.  Because it seems like the first resurrection (of the righteous) takes place at the beginning of the thousand year period.  This millenial reign explains Isaiah 11 well, though I'm not sure how it fits with Isaiah 65.  And after the 1000 yrs., the unrighteous are raised, not receiving glorified bodies (John 5:28,29).  Then, would come the final judgment and new creation (Rev. 20:11ff, 21; Isaiah 65:17-25).

Some of it still does not quite yet fit into place.  I would love to hear suggestions if any have it.  I know some are saying Bush is the antichrist, and I saw a funny video saying Schwarzneggar was Appollyon, the destroyer (ya know, the movie, Terminator)!  Haha.  I had to laugh at that one.  But I think this model fits best with the prophecy and historical phenomenon.  In fact, this may well be why "no one knows the day or hour" of his return.  We've all bought into a false Jesuit* scapegoat eschatological explanation.

  • Moving On

Hey all, not that I odn't enjoy or love posting on this site, but after talking with my wife, we decide it'd be better if I go to another blogsite.  So here it is.  I"ve just opened one at http://meditationswhilesojourning.blogspot.com/.  I hope if you are a regular visitor to my site, you will visit me on my new blog site.  I love the interaction, feedback, questions and comments you all make.

I reposted one of my more recent posts looking at the scriptural prophecies which foretold almost 3000 years ago what is happening between Russia, Iran and Israel.  God's word continues to be fulfilled today, with more prophecies coming true than any other religion.  Remember, Jesus said, "I am the Way, the Truth and the Life.  No one comes to the Father except through Me" (Jn 14:6).  And "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous and will forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 Jn. 1:9).

Every one who thirsts, come to the waters; And you who have no money come, buy and eat. Come, buy wine and milk Without money and without cost. 2 "Why do you spend money for what is not bread, And your wages for what does not satisfy? Listen carefully to Me, and eat what is good, And delight yourself in abundance. Isaiah 55:1-2

    Dalit Kids Beaten; Mother Burned

Dalit children in Bihar are left without hope for an education or a future, because their high-caste neighbors do not see their value and treat them poorly.

A group of about 10 infuriated, upper-caste farmers beat up some Dalit children who were playing on the premises of a local temple in Bihar, India, on September 1. The farmers then chased the children home and argued with their mothers about the incident. As the disagreement escalated, the farmers threw a pot of scalding food onto one of the mothers.

According to news reports, the upper-caste farmers were upset because they felt the Dalits did not have the right to be near the temple where they worshipped. "They told us how dare we enter the temple, this is our temple, you have no right to offer prayers here," said one victim, Rukmini Devi.

Following the incident, police arrested one of the farmers and are continuing to search for five others. They also filed paperwork with the court system and assured local news sources that the law would take its course.

Although Bihar has made some strides to create equality among its people, many atrocities against Dalits continue. This recent event only highlights the ongoing need for Dalits to be valued and respected in their society.

Gospel for Asia missionaries serving in Bihar have a special burden to reach the Dalits in their state with Christ's love, and show them the true importance they have in the kingdom of God. The missionaries request prayer for the violence against Dalits to cease and for many to come to know Jesus through these difficult times.

Jesus (Isa al-Masih) tells us "everyone who is angry with his brother will be subject to judgment" (Injil Matt. 5:22), and, "But I tell you, love your enemies and pay for those who persecute you, so that you may be sons of your Father in heaven" (Injil Matt. 5:44-45).  What is it with man's religion that views other people as being less human or lower than our own selves? Is that not a manifestation of wickedness?  That's what Satan wants us to do and how to treat each other.  He wants us to destroy ourselves.  He hates you and has a terrible plan for your life!  Jesus said, "Come to me, all of you wo are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.  All of you, take up My yoke and learn from Me, because I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will  find rest for yourselves.  For My yoke is easy and My burden is light" (Injil Matthew 11:28-30).

  • Needed: More Christian Families

This article I thought was great, and it shows the benefit to a society when people are raised with a belief in God, respect of authority, an attitude of generosity and of service.  It made me think of the Christian family that has eight kids, which travel the nation singing.  They performed at our church, and they were amazing!  Not just singers, but the family was close, the kids polite, obedient and loving, respectful.  For the following two months they are performing in Branson, Missouri. The following article is from www.wnd.com.

9-child family shines as Christian example

    Posted: November 1, 2007

In his elegant new book, "What's So Great About Christianity," Dinesh D'Souza makes a compelling case for belief in God from a Christian perspective. The book argues not against other faiths but against the absence of faith. It is so clear and comprehensive it should be required reading for all students in Christian schools.

In researching my own book, "What's The Matter With California," I had no intent in waging any such argument. In the California spirit, I shied from judgments like "good" or "evil" or even "just plain stupid."

Instead, I looked at outcomes from a material perspective, namely how a given phenomenon affects the economy and the ecology of the state and the well-being of its citizens.

In doing so, however, I stumbled upon one very powerful rationale for Christianity and, in the stumbling, I stumbled upon one more powerful rationale still.

The stumbling began when I visited Michael and Deborah Grumbine and their family of nine children, now age 11 to 31, in the Los Angeles suburb of Whittier. I wanted to see how a large family could live on a median income in an area where such an income can buy only 2 percent of the homes on the market.

In Kansas City, by contrast, a family of median income can buy 87 percent of the homes on the market.

    (Column continues below)

    adsonar_placementId=1270202;adsonar_pid=663759;adsonar_ps=1451068;adsonar_zw=300;adsonar_zh=250;adsonar_jv="ads.adsonar.com";

What I saw was that a family, bound together by a deeply held belief in God, could live on almost anything, anywhere, even in Los Angeles.

Michael himself grew up in Whittier in a deeply Christian family of 12 children, 11 of whom survived to adulthood. I asked him if he would survey his siblings to see how their 47 children had fared, and he graciously obliged.

As I report in the book, 43 of the 47 have lived their lives with a father in home. Only two of the 47 receive any kind of public assistance. Of the 35 old enough to have graduated from high school, 35 have graduated. None has been to prison. And the many Grumbine cousins have all had to work their way through school and college doing the jobs Americans allegedly won't do.

I concluded that material poverty does not seem to cause crime. Michael Grumbine grew up in the same metro at the same time as Stanley "Tookie" Williams, whose story I also tell. Tookie was the one with his own bedroom and eventually his own cell on San Quentin's death row. Michael was the one with his own father.

Obviously, however, there is more to a God-centered life well lived than a civil, self-supporting society. This I saw clearly in reading Michael's response to the chapter I wrote on the Grumbine family. It speaks for itself:

    Dear Jack,

You gave a great deal of joy, comfort and pride to a little bed-ridden lady, covered with sores and racked with pain from several serious diseases. My dear mother, who will not likely be with us much longer, and who has all too few joys left in life, was smiling from ear-to-ear as I read to her the Whittier chapter from your book. She could not stop saying "My, oh my" during and after the reading.

And I must also tell you about the difficult moment you presented her with, when I reached the parts where you say: "If all the materially impoverished children in California had grown up with the support of faith and family that the Grumbine cousins did, California could virtually eliminate serious crime. ... When all is said and done, the state's future depends on the Grumbines."

At that point, I looked over at my mom as she lay stretched out in her bed, her life and purpose now nearly complete. I watched as her frail and well-worn lips trembled with emotion.

Here was a woman who had lived all of her life in her home as the very antithesis of the militant feminist ideal. She had never left her children for strangers, and was truly valiant in her self-sacrifice and dedication to her husband and family. But according to feminist logic, she had wasted away her life on the humdrum and the unfulfilling.

It was truly, truly wonderful, then, to see this humble and dedicated heroine get some public appreciation and honor for the great work she has actually done, before she passes on.

I watched her eyes sparkle with nearly uncontrolled pride and delight, to see her singular life's work acknowledged to the entire country – she truly had made a difference. It left me with tears in my eyes.

But I could not help but chuckle inwardly at the dilemma you had given her. For mother is also one of the most completely humble people you could ever know. And as is typical of such self-effacing saints, they are uncomfortable in moments of high praise.

But soon the "crisis" passed, and once more she graciously rose to the occasion and resumed her graceful demeanor. She did what she always did – provide me with a lesson in virtue. For despite her debilitated condition, she has never stopped teaching her family about grace and the ways of Christian virtue.

For those who wonder why God allows "old people" to painfully linger in this world, I wish they could meet my mother. For that matter, I wish you had the room in your book to list all of the heroic mothers who have dedicated their lives to their family, and through their selfless efforts and example allowed culture, civilization and yes, goodness itself, to exist in a fallen world.

But as Dad used to say, "Life isn't fair."

Perhaps not this life, but I dare say that when the final reckoning comes, and all of humanity stands before their Creator with His Son at His right hand reading from the Book of Life, we will finally be able to witness and rejoice aloud in the glory of those unsung heroes. Indeed, I can't wait to sing!

    Blessings,

    Michael Grumbine

Dinesh D'Souza could not have said it any better.

About Me

  • Hi, I was originally born in the beautiful mountains of western NC. That's why I chose this picture for my layout. It feels like me. Now I serve in a great fellowship of believers in a different state. The church isn't perfect, but the LORD has lots in store. Living for Him is best! I'm excited. The messiah said, "I have come that you may have life, and have it abundantly." The ways of this world, free sex, drugs, alcohol, pornography... all result in bondage to the evil one. He rules this world system (1 Jn 5:19), but the righteous one is returning soon, and He will set you free! "Jesus said to his disciples, 'If you hold to my teachings, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth and the truth will set you free!" (Jn 8:31,32).

Hey there Chris, how are you doing? Well, I'm working as a nanny part time, I get to go on weekend getaways with them. I was in Sydney, BC on Vancouver Island last week, visiting my best friend and her husband, just waiting for to send me pictures.
