To Whom It May Concern:
In your letter addressed to me, you wrote that I had pledged to donate $35.00 to your organization and that “if this is an error on our part, please call us so we can correct our records.” I am writing to tell you that it was, in fact, an error entirely on my part.
Some months ago, I received a call from someone representing your organization, requesting a donation to combat illegal child pornography on the Internet, a cause that certainly sounded worthy. I had every intention of fulfilling my pledge, but following the call, I wondered how an organization might approach such a matter.
Eventually I paid your web site a visit and found that your organization takes numerous stances that I do not agree with, such as opposition to homosexuality, gay marriage, and abortion.
I believe that, in only presenting your stance against pedophilia and child pornography, you were intentionally misrepresenting your organization. You showed an uncontroversial stance that most normal people would agree with, and that I personally do feel strongly about. Your representative made no mention of the CFAC’s much less agreeable agenda, and was clearly attempting to present your organization as a secular group with only one objective. I do not doubt the legality of your methods; however, it reveals the total lack of integrity and moral standards that are at the heart of your organization. Please do not insult my intelligence by attempting to claim that the misdirection was unintentional.
I do not believe that there is a war being declared on your religion. I do not believe that abortion should be outlawed. And I certainly do not believe that teachers should have the right to endorse anti-gay sentiment in schools.
I do not believe in inciting hatred behind the guise of a loving religion.
Your organization will not be receiving any money from me, now or ever.
As sincerely as possible,
Owen Seto
P.S. On your “Church’s Corner” page, in the sentence, “CFAC says, ones faith ought to transcend the career one chooses,” the word “ones” should have an apostrophe, you fucking dumbasses.
