Christmas PoemO Christmas, O Christmas, where have you gone?
Shopping malls and the traffic, I feel you're a con
The peace and the joy of my adolescent past
Feels like it all just went by too fast
I like to sit back and think of those days
I'd like to think it was more than just another phase
The memories I have of staying up all night
The one day of the year me and my brothers don't fight
I remember the morning my brother Jon had much glee
His diaper fell off, and on the Christmas tree did he pee
The presents and excitement were a plus, I won't lie
But the love that I felt wasn't a thing you could buy
I miss those days as nostalgia kicks in
But now I have a son and we'll do it for him
So I hope that you all have the best Christmas in years
Embrace all the good things and forget all your fears
