so my last xanga update did not thoroughly explain ike.
my power was out for 17 days. i missed almost 2 weeks of school, which we will not be making up.

i had my wisdom teeth out today. don't believe the hype, it's really not so bad.
i didn't feel any pain when they actually pulled them out and the pain now is manageable.
my oral surgeon did tell me this funny story while he was pulling out tooth 4 about his wife renting a gorilla suit on Halloween and scaring their kids.

now i've got today, friday, saturday, and sunday to recuperate. i foresee mashed potatoes, jell-o, ice cream, pudding, and a bit of prescribed vicoden every once in awhile when the going gets tough.

peace!

tonight i was able to see one of the greatest, if not THE greatest, accomplishments in the modern olympic history. wow. michael phelps achieving 8 gold medals in beijing was absolutely mind blowing. and he reached 16 total medals of his own, 14 being gold. standing on my coffee table cheering for him and his relay mates to get the 8th and final medal for him is something i will probably remember for the rest of my life. not to mention the relay where lezak was able to pull ahead of the french and win by .08 of a second and then michael out-touching cavic of serbia by .01 seconds. just like seeing kerri strug stick her vault landing and breaking her ankle in 1996 was something i won't forget even though i was extremely young. also nastia liuken getting all around gold this year was something i had hoped for and was so happy to see her recieve. along with shawn johnson getting all around silver. the olympics are the only time i am patriotic, it is true.
