Love....is a game. A game that the rules constantly change. Love....represents a range of human emotions and experiences related to senses of affection and sexual attraction.
It can refer to variety of feelings, states, and attitudes, ranging from generic pleasure to intense interpersonal attraction. This diversity of meanings, combined with complexity of the feelings involved, makes love unusually difficult to consistently define.
In a way, doesnt love usually refer to a strong, ineffable feeling towards someone?

Altruism- UNselfish concern to welfare of others. Wanting to do good WITHOUT rewards.
If one performs an act beneficial to others with a view to gaining some personal benefit, then it isn't an altruistically motivated act, right?
When you perform an act, do you not look for something in return?
Whether it be a material gain (like money, looks, etc) or immaterial (affection, repect, happiness, satisfaction etc.) Are you not looking for some reward?
Is this not a problem that ALL people have with Love? We act to get something back. That's how humans are, its what WE do.
People may or may not believe in Altruism, but with the people who do believe.. does that mean that they do things without looking for material or immaterial gain? When you donate to a charity (for example, Children's Hospital) you dont really expect to get any material gain from it, but what about immaterial? Isnt there a sense that you are REWARDED with respect and satisfaction? Is that what you are looking for when you do it?

People in love, they act for each other because they care deeply for one another, correct? Is that selfishness or altruism? Are they OR aren't they expecting the same in return?
Can you sit there and think of something that you have done is an altruistically motivated act?
