...is an Avenue Q song sung often in my presence, especially by a Singaporean friend named Anand and other silly and kurang ajar freshman (although I still love them to bits). Why, you ask? Because I am an *dumdumduuummmmmm* English major. Indeed. So what do you do with a BA in English? Why, teach of course. As cliched as it may sound.

So. This time, instead of being all Tok (talk) and no Aksyen (action), i am ALL AKSYEN. Hehe. Well, kind of. Ms Caroline (an ex-lecturer at HELP) basically was just like, "Hey, Cris, would you like to intern here?" and I was like sure. So. Next week I start interning at HELP, basically conducting A Levels English Lit workshops for the current A Levels students. Yup. I was up til like 2 am last night working on a lesson schedule for the next four weeks, and soon I will be working my backside off creating lesson plans, re-reading my old texts and notes, researching stuff, critiquing essays... funfunfun. :) But also workworkwork. :( And at the most basic level of Cristabeldom... there is immense laziness. But all Cristabel needs is also a kick in the balls to get her started and working. So, feel free to kick her in the balls. Kidding lah. She doesn't really have balls, duh. I mean she metaphorically does (see, already using lit terms in everyday speech! heehee), but she does not actually have testes.

Yup. So. Will be at HELP (University College) on Tuesdays and Wednesdays for pretty much the whole day, like from 10-4, and occasionally until 6. Will also be teaching for most of this time (which in retrospect seems to have been a rather silly move as I will just end up killing myself) but will have a half hour free for lunch from 11.45-12.15 so, if you're in the area, feel free to come chill and listen to me moan and groan. :) Company is always welcome.
