If only time would stand still...for just a moment.

I stopped and read about beauty last night as I lay on my bed.  What a wonderful thing God has created in Beauty.  Allowing us to believe that once again everything will be alright.  The roaring seas, the towering mountains, the deep blue skies, the dark stary night, and the captivating beauty found only in the feminine soul.  There truly is beauty all around and yet I feel as if time will not stop moving at such an incredible rate as this.  I do not have time for anything.. only work, and sleep, and a state of limbo where productivity and life cannot be found.  Work has been busy lately and I am not complaining.  I do prefer the busyness over the absolute boredom I used to feel but still I am mentally drained by the end of the day...where is time for living? There has got to be more, and perhaps this is why we should all find that job that we enjoy and is part of our passion so that life seem so much fuller than without.  I have not found it yet, but I am searching and longing for it to come.  Thankfully the Lord has surrounded me by beauty so that I would not give up early in life and make it to the end where Beauty itself waits with anticipation.

Oh man, I just heard of this video and its hilarious:

How you mix these things up is beyond me.. but its funny regardless.  Other than that my weekend was great...sickness and all.  I have to say its much funner to be sick with 8 of your friends than by yourself.  Thanks for the company guys! hehe.  Good times, and I'm feeling better now.  I hear mostly everyone else is too, except maybe Dan and Joel.  hope you guys get better quick!

Regarding the Man of Steel

So I went and saw Superman Returns last night with Mike.  I thought the movie was really well made and the acting was pretty good also.  The movie was long, but it didn't really feel like it.  Hm, I've got some more thoughts than that but maybe I should wait till a little more people see the movie, since it is only coming out today.. alright I'll wait.  Turning this into a terrible post, oh well at least thats a sweet picture.

Hm. keep thinking about the lifeboat and perhaps even read Donald Miller's "Searching for God knows what" but I'll talk about the weekend I had.  For my dads birthday we drove up to Jasper as a family and stayed there over night and then came back.  Sounds pretty exciting when I say it like that.  No, it was a really great time and the rockies up to Jasper are amazing, especially to the West as you're driving north.  And in Jasper we went to the top of Whister's mountain and was able to see mountains all around us from the top, it was great.  I'll have to post some pics on my website when I get the chance but I took so many I'll have to sort through all the bad ones...cause seriously I took over 400.  Jasper is a quaint little town that doesn't have too much going on.  There are definitely a lot of tourists there from all over the place.  The greatest part of the trip for me was hiking on the top of Whistler's Mountain and seeing all of the massive mountains surrounding it.  Really makes you feel small you know? It was a good weekend, very relaxing and at times frustrating with the family but I love 'em.  Thats all I got for now.
