the last two days were touring days and yesterday we went to petra wich is a beautiful place: it's like picture the flood and under the water there is all this mud and rocks and like clay.....now picture 4500 years later, the mush is hard rock and such and civilisation after civilisation has come and carved things in the rock like caves and "temples" and stairs and sacrifice altars. it is so fascinating and since it is such a tourist attraction there are venders trying to get money for whatever they are selling!!!!! this excites me because amung these deals there are ceap jewlery venders which you can make GOOD deals with, camel, donkey or hoarse rides throughout the "city" and much more. the venders have a horrible accents and one thing they often say is "Special Price for You...." it's hillarious and Collin G. has been saying nothing but this since the first time he heard it. (All you who know him can most likely picture this scenerio...) hehe....    I got a terrible sun burn which was very painful...  I boght many special items and most of all i GOT To RIDE A CAMEL!!!!!!!AAAAAHHHHH Sooo coool!!!

ok, so you all know I'm in Jordan right now... I'm having the BEST time ever. I'm helping at the school here for kids who had to flee iraq because of the war. there is such a need here and I don't think I could do everything I possibly could in just one week; I am drawn to the kids here and feel their cry for help. this is a normal day for me here:

morning:

I wake up at 7:00-7:30 ( I know, WAY too early for break)

eat breakfast and have group devotions

9:00 go to elementary school english classes and help as much as I can (you need sooooo much energy...) kids here NEVER get compliments and when they do they thrive and they immediately love you.

12:00 go to middle school during english classes and discuss about life in Iraq

4:00 go to iraqi family's house and get stuffed with food

6:00 eat dinner and de-brief (by this time I'm already full)

the rest of the day we go shopping or what not....

right now I'm supposed to be mopping floors and the last person in the computer lab.... so I would say a whole lot more but I got to go

I absolutely hate it when people make assumptions!!!!! some times people need to keep their thoughts to themselves and at least just think it and not say it out loud!!  if this does not make any sense to you that's fine but if you understand please watch what you say... And mostly it's even worse if people assume things about me when I myself am not sure about it...

my mom used to say " if you have nothing nice to say don't say anything at all!" and in this context don't say anything unless you have thought about it and have already decided that it would not be embarassing or obnixtious(however you spell it). In other words, controll your tongue and don't just say things when there's nothing else to say... an aquard moment is better than an ignorant one!!!  

(by the way this CD is in honor of Olivia! GOOD TIMES! hahaha)
