My first pet

I adopted a kitten/cat today. Her name is Kelly and she is a year old. She is the cutest thing ever. Pictures will be posted soon

I just found out that Yalies have a facebook group called "Harvard Sucks". It has 1801 members.

Do we have one called "Yale Sucks"? I don't recall coming across such a group...

In any case, it felt weird coming across a group that bashed my undergrad. These are times I feel weird calling myself a Yalie. I guess I found it amusing too. Of course, no matter how much I end up loving yls, there is no way I'm going to join that group...ever

No grades

For the first time in my life, I am going to school without thinking or worrying about grades...and I'm LOVING it. I do the readings and pay attention in class not because I want to ace the next exam but because I want to learn about the law. yay!

My torts professor is Judge Guido Calabresi who was appointed by President Bill Clinton to be a judge on the US Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit. Bill Clinton had been a student in Judge Calabresi's torts class. According to wikipedia, Supreme Court Justice Alito was also one of Judge Calabresi's students. Cool. I've heard that he's an awesome professor, but he's also the reason I have class at 8:30 am everyday. I guess his awesomeness will make up for the horrible class schedule.

I've done some of my reading assignments for the first day of class, and so far it's not bad. In fact, I'm enjoying these readings a LOT more than the readings I had to do as an undergrad. These readings deal with real people, real life issues, life changing decisions, things that matter and affect our everyday lives. None of the theoretical computer science algorithms or the great feats of Alexandar the Great which were only useful when trying to interpret the significance behind his protraits.
