| I went to the clinic yesterday because I needed a formed filled out for the city by a general practioner. After spending nearly 2 hours in a boring waiting room with nothing to keep me occupied but watching a 3 year old eat Goldfish crackers, I finally got in to see the doctor. The doctor was hasty and very rude, and basically scoffed and could not figure out why someone who was going to school to obtain a Social Work degree would be working for the City of Greater Sudbury planting flowers (um, it's not MY CAREER and it's a summer job that pays well, k?). Then I was charged $125 for the physical examination which took 10 minutes and pretty much told me everything I already knew (hey, I have bad eyesight in one eye! oh look, i need to wear glasses when driving!). Then, the icing on the cake, when I went to get in to my car I noticed that SOMEONE SMASHED MY TAILLIGHT. The strange part is that the area around the taillight is not dented or scratched in anyway. So either a car/truck backed into my car perfectly (or terribly) so that it only managed to break the taillight or someone purposely kicked it in (my theory is that it was a hardcore Christian who hated my Darwin fish). I hate sounding 'whiny" but oh man, was it a series of bad events after another! All I could do was laugh because it was all too ridiculous not to! On the brightside, I might get a new car (haha, not because of the broken taillight, but of other random events that took place at exactly the same time all this occured) | | |

| This has been an intense, emotionally-rollercoastery, strangestrangestrange strange strange strange week. Probably the strangest week I've had, ever. A dead movie actor, a chipped tooth, a sobbing girl with bloody knuckles cursing at Southern Ontario, doing coat check by myself, cryptic-y messages, Robinson Crusoe on Mars, an illegally packed movie theatre, Elton John coming to Sudbury, overwhelming stage manager duties, locking myself out of my office, the passing of a friend's grandmother, the passing of a friend's dog, finding out Two Hours Traffic is coming to the Townehouse, perverts at the STC, people withdrawing, finding out a good friend was in an accident and in the hospital, strange stalkers from Halifax, possibly going to see the Spice Girls? Some of these things didn't happen to me, but took place during this week and I heard about them, proving that this is an off week for many people. How has your week been? | | |
