Awesome Dining Experience

Last Wednesday Mr. Leigh took me to a restaurant that I always dream of going, to pre-celebrate my birthday. It was a very interesting and fun experience dining in that restaurant. The dishes showed how creative the whole kitchen team is. It was an awesome experience!

What restaurant is it? Can you tell from the napkin?

Big 30

I had a wonderful birthday this year. Not only because the celebration started days earlier, but also my dear friends gave me many surprises. The surprise party, the surprise gifts, the surprise fireworks, the surprise cards, the surprise singing, the surprise phone call... There were just countless surprises. I even received greetings from friends that I haven't kept in touch for a long while.

I really appreciate everyone's effort for making my big 30 memorable and making me not feeling old!
Special THANKS to the two who organized the surprise party and tried to make it as secretive as possible!

Kobe Beef Burger

I skipped fellowship the past Wednesday and went to Sweets & Savories for their Wednesday-only kobe beef burger special. It's a luxurious burger: American kobe beef with foie gras pate and truffled mayonnaise, toasted brioche roll. The best part was... we only needed to pay half of the regular price. However, the punishment was... 3 out of 4 of us got stomachache the next day. I guess our bodies cannot afford to eat this kind of luxurious burger.

Le Lan Tasting

I went to Le Lan last Tuesday. It is one of the restaurants I want to try in the city. In general, I like the food there. However I did not see as much creativity in the dishes as I would expect. With their price tag, I expect to see more creativity and surprises in the entrees.

The asparagus salad that I had was great. Very good layers and combination of flavor. Entrees... fairly ordinary. Desserts were good, not overly sweet. I particularly liked the Pineapple Napoleon - a twist to the classic napoleon. Very refreshing...

Tomato Plant Update

My tomato plant is growing rapidly these days!!! I can see it gets taller and taller everyday. Now I am expecting to see flowers next, and then the fruits... soon hopefully!!!
