So Spring Break wasn't much to write about. I basically stayed local in Jersey City (Sad..I know) and pretty much worked at the job and BS for the rest of the days. Plans to go to AC were cancelled since people never seem to get on the same page unless you tell them months and months ahead of time. Or maybe its just a desi thing.
The Philly Release party @ TPDS was good. It met some of my expectations, but the party was nothing like that one's we've held in prior months. The crowd seemed really good with the music and danced to almost anything we played, which was a positive. It shows that people are finally opening their minds to different music, other than the standard "Top 40." The sound at the club was HORRIBLE!! They need a real sound technician who knows what he's doing, instead of intrusting the job to the owner's kid.
I finally ate at a cheesesteak place in Philly. Since I don't eat beef, I ended up getting the roast pork, which was surprisingly good, but a bit dry. The drive back was bad though, since we left Philly around 5:30 and didn't make it back to Jersey City till 7:30, when the sun was coming up and the parents were having morning tea. It's always interesting to see the look on their face when they realize that you just got back from the party.
So, if you missed out on 201 in Jersey, Show in NYC and TPDS in Philly, you pretty much missed out on all the release parties. But don't worry. You can still get a copy of my CD at your local desi stores in Jersey City and Iselin. AIM me if you need addresses to these locations (Niral LS).
