Quick updates on my life in Singapore:- 1) Wahaha~ Big day today = will have a *fat* CNY as suggested by Sam... Um.. Should start to think about investment strategy seriously! 2) Cindy, Gerbo and Jen are coming this Thurs. I was so excited that I spent all morning updating the itinerary (gotta get fired real soon... =P) 3) Have met lots of nice people. Thanks my colleague Jen who introduced her fds here to me (she spent 2 years in SG in her last job). And all the grads are so nice and keen to take me around, esp. Andrea, who came to pick me up at the airport and helped me out when I moved in the apartment. 4) Talking about the apartment - it's not as big as I *imagined* (I think I probably imagined too much), but it's a very nice and lovely place for one person. And the swimming pool downstairs is just so nice - all in resort style with the swing benches and the gym room is facing the pool! 5) Work is on track too. Got to learn more about the trades we have, e.g. real cases of swaps / commodities / repos. But since last wed I couldn't logon to the program I need to use at work, I've been slacking quite a bit.... I must die when it comes to the end of my rotation that I couldn't finish the tasks assigned....... 6) My cookies for Sam arrived way too early for Valentine's. But I really like the cookies a lot. They got really special flavours. And after discussing with Hallas, I discovered that it's a very famous dessert place! Check it out at www.thevtearoom.com! 7) Parents are coming next Tue. Have planned a trip to Bintan (an island of Indonesia which is just an hour away from SG by ferry). The resort looks very nice. I booked a room which has a terrace linked to the garden. Maybe I can try golf there too!! hoho =) So - in conclusion - I enjoy my life @ SG a lot!! But of course I will never stop missing HK and all my dearest. Take care every one!!!!!! |
