I started reading "The Chronicles of Narnia" today...I skipped the"The Magician's Nephew" And just started reading the "The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe" So Far I am really captivated by the writing...I love the fairytale type story...it reminds me of when I used to day dream...alot; it school I remember not even paying attention in class and just getting lost in a day dream...drifting off into a unknown created world...man the good old days! I remember reading the "Never Ending Story" and then seeing the movie. Dreaming of flying high on a dog with scales...and figuring out how to save the princess [which in the movie was hot...very hot] from the palace... I need to start day dreaming again... does any one feel the same?

Today! The only day I can live for! Today! The difference maker. The controller of tomorrow. I plan on getting my life a little more organized today. I am going to clean the gym up at the church and then hang the net back up to protect the stage. Then clean out my office and get Steve's old space ready for the relaxation area. We are thinking of putting in a computer and a sofa and a little coffee stand. Maybe a man made waterfall or something. I am really excited about the church and the student department. God is really giving us some good ideas. We just have to take it slow and steady. Remember it's not a sprint its a marathon. That's what I tell myself about 20 times a day. You can do it. Slowly! I want everything today. But in ministry it takes time. Because everything is based off of offering that people give and the fact that we have tons of ministry that cost money to run. But! Our day is coming. I have been reading a book by JOhn Maxwell called Today Matters...is awesome. I pray that I have that much applied knowledge when I am in my 60's. Anyway...Our student website will be finished this week. YEA! Its www.uturnstudentcity.org! Check it out! We are starting a few new things before the new year starts...the first and my favorite is the student council project. We had our first meeting...well not really a meeting but a election/voting time. It went well and I can already see the council rising to the duties. Here is everything I have been working on. 1. meetup – Groups design with you in mind. Come on Wed. Nights and join your meetup group. 2. stuco – We are a city built by students for students…stuco connects the staff with the voice of the students. Come!! Listen in. 3. stu-life – 2 monthly gatherings that take place at a student’s home. HANG-TALK-EAT 4. applied2life – A once a month student leadership training session that was created to help you become the leader God has created for you to be. 5. urbiz – We want to be involved in your life. And all up your business. YOU’RE HOUSE-MY HOUSE-LUNCH-SPORTS-EVENTS…If you’re involved we want to be a part of it.
