Batch File Editing

Ever find yourself in those situations where you suddenly need to rename hundreds of files in quickly?

There's a really awesome and amazing batch file renamer called Metamorphose, and it's really awesomely cross-platfom. It's open-source.

http://file-folder-ren.sourceforge.net/

So, uh, yeah. I looked everywhere to fnid the best file renaming software, and this was it. So look no further.

Also, if you're looking for a program that displays folder sizes en masse, you should use Windirstat! Or the Linux version, Graphical Disk Map. It shows how much space each file folder takes up in a big picture, essentially. It's fantastically useful. I used to use another program for this until I discovered the Graphical Disk Map. And man, that was after a lot of searching. Space Explorer Ex (I don't even want to bother trying to find it again, it was so obscure, although I think I still have the installer) was quite good, but it was only textual, and not as fun to use as the graphical one. In some ways, it was more useful though. In some ways, Space Explorer gave more details. But I don't think I'll ever go back to it. I used both at one point, but I'm convinced now that the graphical one is still better. But yeah.
