  • new goals!

OK, so yes, I'm studying for my GMAT.  so 1 new goal I had was to finish this crap studying and take the test at the end of Mar.  Originally, I was planning to take the test in early April, but i was sick of studying so pushed up the date to the end of Mar.  The thought of getting the test over with was motivation in itself, but i do have a bit of extra motivation that really no one but me will know. ha!

BUT, my new goal which I'm super super excited about...  remember my last post about study breaks and how one of them has become running down to the Santa Monica Pier?   SO, i think i'm starting to get the hang of it and I'm gonna make a goal to do that more regularly and possibly work my way to run more and more miles!  Saturday, I ran 5 miles.  Monday, I ran 6.  ...  can I work my way up to 12?!? oh dear - that would take 2 hours!!  what a long time!!

anyhow, all this is all really to say i'm super excited and really do hope this keeps up.  Nice thing about running this time of year is that I can get a tan too!  whoooot!! :)

  • study breaks...

you know, after having not been in the study mode for what - 3 years now... its really hard to just sit down and study like i did back in those hard core study days/nights.

Last week, i tried studying at Literati for what I thought was going to be 3+ hours at once, but d00d... after 2 hours maybe? ... i was done.

SO, these past couple of days, I tried studying at home because I have more choices for my study breaks than just getting up to go to the restroom at Literati or picking up my phone to txt.   I honestly think this new strategy is working...  My study breaks so far (because I know you're all so interested):
    - doing dishes
    - wiping down the kitchen
    - cleaning my closet
    - running from my place down to Santa Monica and back
    - going to Ralphs
    - vacuuming

I know it doesn't sound like i can get any studying done, but its great!  ok, back to studying!

  • judge a candidate by its cover

I saw this picture on the front page of cnn.com today and thought to myself - who LOOKS like they could be a president?  You've got the double chinned, the bad toothed, the totally white haired, the darker skinned, the 90-year old neck, and the republican with bad ROI.    For me, it comes down to the double chinned woman with an overly large bottom half and the charismatic man with a great smile.  can you tell who i'm rooting for?

Did cnn purposely choose pictures that made everyone except Obama look a little bit off?  Maybe they look off in all the pictures they take, but i just think there's only 1 that stands out in this set of 6.  Could appearance be what makes you finally decide who to vote for?

    Happy tuesday voting!!
