| Brickfish "One Love" contest... Vote for ME!!I just entered a new campaign at Brickfish for David's Bridal. No, I am not getting married anytime soon, but I am in love with my boyfriend and we have been together for a long time. I'm allowed to dream, right? This contest gives me the chance to win some money for whenever I do have my wedding.
Plus, I was supposed to be working on Photoshop tutorials for my Design Applications class, but the Photoshop on my computer refused to open and all the libraries were closed last night. The only problem I had with this campaign was that it didn't allow me to use Photoshop, just the crappy Entry Editor, but it turned out to be a good thing because mine wouldnt work!
Here it is! Please VOTE!

| What are your tips for a successful first year of college?I feel like I answer this question all the time since I was on the orientation team at Alabama for 2 years.
1. Get a daily planner. This way you can write down all homework assignments, class times, club meetings, interviews, parties, etc. and you will never forget anything!
2. Get involved. Most campuses have some sort of get on board day where all the organizations on campus have information tables set up. Go to something like this and sign up to get more information about anything that you may be interested in. Joining new organizations is a great way to make friends, gain leadership skills, and have something to put on your resume.
3. Get your priorities straight. There is always something fun to do in college, but you must remember to go to class and do your work. It is not too hard to make good grades in college if you get your stuff done. Then you can go hang out with friends or go to that party you've been looking forward to all week!
4. Remember to call home. I have had trouble doing this because I get so busy and am having such a good time that I forget. Your parents do miss you and they would like to hear from you at least once in a while.
These are the most important tips I can think of, but if I remember more I will edit! I just answered this Featured Question; you can answer it too!
| designs and stuffI just added my first entry at Brickfish! VOTE FOR ME!
I just got back from a week in Michigan. It was a great time and I really wish I didn't have a job so I could stay up there with Will for the whole month! We did a lot of fun things: watched the fireworks on the lake by his house, went to a hooka bar, Henry Ford's Greenfield Village, Cedar Point, Greektown, Tigers vs. Indians game, and more. I didn't want to leave!
Now I have to make up a lot of hours for work that I missed, but it turns out it's not that bad. I can't wait for school to start back and people get back in town. It's just too boring here.

| Where were you one year ago today?I was in Atlanta with Will and Beth. We went there for the weekend to see the Detroit Tigers and Atlanta Braves game. John and Evan went to the game too, but they left on Saturday. June 24 was a Sunday so we went to Perimeter Church, where Will used to go when he lived in Atlanta and where I used to go for the Goldrush retreat with my church in high school. After church we ate at Barnacles with Will's grandparents, then drove back to our daily lives in Tuscaloosa, where I was doing Avanti stuff just like this year and he was taking classes.
I just answered this Featured Question, you can answer it too!
| The Warrior BoardSo, Will and I have decided to have a competition before we go to Michigan for the 4th of July.
Each of us has to run 100 miles before July 3. Whoever gets there first gets dinner payed for by the other. It's going to be tough for me because I have a full time job... and he doesn't. But I'm excited! We both wanted to lose weight and we're going to do it. He said this is inspired by Lance Armstrong and he titled our log sheet "The Warrior Board." IT'S ON!! I'm already 3 miles ahead and he is still in class. Go me.
