| Ni Hao, Kai-LanA friend told us about this show called Ni Hao, Kai-Lan. Never knew it existed in NickJr and Soph was just thinking about how we can introduce atleast some "chinese" to JLo. First DVD is coming out on August 2 on amazon.com
I guess it's kinda like Dora but a little Chinese-American girl and the audience gets to learn about chinese culture and mandarin. You can of course check it out on Youtube.
But right now JLo's favorite show is The Backyardigans and she has her own Pablo that she likes to drag around.

| Car TintSo anybody know a shop in Morris County? It seems they are all in Bergen County or near the city for some reason.
I like to get the rear windows tinted on my VW Jetta.

| Auto Service: Over Inflation of $$$I love cars .... but I wish I knew how to fix them .... here and there ... I replace simple things to save money .... like an air filter for $10 from Walmart or a burnt out bulb from Walmart ...
Yesterday, I brought in my VW to get my rear brakes done ... what kills me is not the labor cost but the cost of the parts. I'm not faulting Birch Tire & Auto Service because they got the parts from VW Trend Motors but they marked-up the parts like 100-150%!!!! That's what pisses me off and yet another reason why I refuse going to the dealership to get anything fixed because of the jacked-up prices. Next time I might call Birch Tire and see if they would mind if I buy my parts online and have them install it.
For example, the cabin air filter was $32. I found it for $10 on the internet. Brake pads were $82 and only $34 online. Brake rotors were $151, I could've gotten for $45 ..... that's a $176 of savings ....
MJM Autohaus is one site that has OEM parts based on the actual part number from VW. They also stock other car brands.

| Foogo Thermos: Straw BottleSo JLo is starting drink milk and we bought the Foogo Straw Bottle and the sippy cup but I don't recommend the sippy cup. JLo had a really hard time trying to suck the liquid out. I even tried the sippy cup (only for testing purposes thank-you very much) and I guess the return valve is not big enough to counter-act the negative pressure. Anyway, do not confuse it with the FUNtainer which is also made by Thermos. I won't go into the differences but here is a review by BabyToolKit on the differences.
It's advertised to keep the liquid cold for 12 hours and I can safely say the milk does keep cold for a very long time.
I searched high and low and every website was soldout until August!!! The only place I could find it was at Walmart.com and you can ship it free to your local Walmart for pick-up.
