Today is the first Saturday since all the students have been back to school. I'll try to keep whining to a minimal.

I have an AWESOME schedule this year:
Drama 1
Adv Drama
Planning
Planning / English 11 Review
Stagecraft
Drama 1

I'm not coaching due to a "communication error," and while I miss the girls, the free time is really nice. I'll still go to all / most of their games. I'm sad most because these seniors are wonderful.

Addition - I have a website: www.coruscations.org I'm very proud, but I am also very sad because no one signs my guest book.

I am now the only drama teacher at my school, so I'm reserving the right to call department meetings for myself whenever I need time alone.

I kicked a kid out of my class already. I figure being yelled at every day and getting sent to the office twice in the first week is a sign that he and I were not meant to be.

Lindsey was accepted to the Nurse Practioners' masters program for University of Maryland which she'll start in January. She's excited and I guess that's good.

Speaking of Lindsey, she made me a reversible cloak for the Ren Faire! My wife is amazing!

I miss Cedarville and I miss XCHS.

I was put in charge of the auditorium so now my power is complete. Slowly but surely I'm gaining back all the storage space lost over the years to the custodial department and the athletic department. It'll all part of my plan to take over a wing of the school. 2 more years...

I flambe-d fruit the other day. That was an experience. Nothing bad happened, which was the expected result, but I had witnesses and medical personnel standing by, just in case.

I am writing in bits because I think in bits.

I'm going to go back and add a line to the top about my website. OF course, by the time you read this point (assuming of course, I have friends / stalkers who read this blog), you will already have read it. But know, deep in your heart, that this is where I thought of announcing my website.

Trying to get a membership to www.youtube.com so that I can post some original videos.

Theriomacheo is coming back in force, if anyone has any idea what that is about.

I have a student with muscular dystrophy. She's wonderful and I pray that she stays that way...

Not much is new besides that. I'm taking up a new hobby, which I guess I can talk about since this isn't like a censored domain or whatever. I've decided to make wine. My first attempt will be peach wine and that will take place as soon as I get back home with 15 lbs of peaches. Standby for more information on that.

Well. That's more than I've written in a good while. Not sure what I'm doing on this lazy weekend. Mom's 50th b-day was yesterday (Sept 1) and so we may go up to PA for dinner. I don't think she's doing so great as this is the first one without Dad. There is, according to the weather-humans, a tropical storm. That may hinder traveling, but who knows.

Life goals:
Graduate at least twice - check
Get married - check
Have kids -
Have an office with a rolling chair - check
Publish book(s) -
Own a bed & breakfast -
Be a pirate -

Go hard or go home.

I have lots to report. I don't think I will.

School starts Monday. Sweet-a schedule. I was "promoted" to nearly full-time Drama teacher. (I have one English class.) I met one of the new students who heard that I had been "kicked out of the English department." Kids are dumb.

I have a new webpage; check it out sometime.
www.coruscations.org

The house is coming along. Hopefully you visit soon. (But no parties til I finish the living room.)

In other news... I neglected to take the Care and Prevention for Coaches class, so I"m not allowed on the soccer field this year. Which is, of course, unfortunate.

Stay tuned for further updates.

Grr (again)

The order for the appliances never cleared with GE

Anyway, moving day is July 8 if anyone is interested.

I think Jen Knudsen will be our first "official" houseguest at the end of July unless someone else comes first...

Busy?!?

Here I thought that the school year was busy... Since we got back from camping over Fathers Day weekend, I have spent most of my "free" time at our new house. We will be:

1) Repainting pretty much everything
2) Gutting the kitchen and starting over
3) Redoing both the basement and 2nd floor bathrooms
4) (Hopefully) redoing some wiring / fuse box - at this point on of our 9 fuses does the whole dining room, kitchen, master bedroom, upstairs bathroom and living room
5) Minor outside work

We have a lot done. Today we finished the dining room and tomorrow we hope to finish the office and the master bedroom. Steve has been amazingly helpful (as have the Ellis ladies) and he and I are currently finishing the basement bathroom when he is able to come up.

Besides that Lindsey works and we think about actually packing. It's awkward to pack and move when nothing is ready at the new house...

Still waiting for the appliances - "Sir, it says here you asked for them to be delivered on the 20th." "That's true." "Well, it may be within 3 weeks."

Cest le vie

Sluggish

4 days of school! and then a large group from the church will be going on the annual camping trip (minus the youth group who (for whatever reason) picked this week/weekend to be on the missions trip to Mexico).

We settle on our house on Tuesday . Exciting and scary. Will be doing a lot of work there over the summer.

I went to Kings Dominion this past Tuesday and apparently it's exactly like Kings Island. I didn't remember, but in my defense, the only time I was at Kings Island, it was so cold that your tears froze on the roller coasters. Dominion was cool and the best part was that it was a random Tuesday so the lines were amazingly short. The longest we waited was an hour and that was for one ride. Almost everything else was walk-on.

Out.
