| Happy Anniversary! What a blessing to have parents who took their vows serious and remained true through the bliss and blisters of life these past 29 years!
What a privilege to be their daughter and to witness first hand their faithfulness and love.
What a joy to sort through pictures and find more like this one than anything else. I don't think there's ever been a time when we've attempted to take pictures of Daddy and Momma that they've not erupted into laughter!
Happy Anniversary, Daddy and Momma! You are greatly loved! We rejoice before the Lord for your steadfast example! May the Lord of love bless you with many more wonderful years. May your grandchildren's grandchildren know the honor with which you held your commitment and recognize the blessing that's fallen upon their lives because of you and your obedience.
| Ezekiel... ...LOVES outside!! Much to the thrill of his parents, especially his momma who'd rather be out than in most any day. He's just discovered "car watching" and will spend endless amounts of time just staring down the road. We recently took him on his first picnic.
"Mommy, what's that black flashin' thing?" The two loves of my life.
I hang out most of our laundry during the warm months (which is about 3/4 of the year here in the south!). Zeke enjoys a ride in the laundry basket if he's awake. He doesn't even seem to mind the wet clothes.
| Two Great DealsWe were shopping at KROGER this past week and happened up on roses on sale I'm assuming were left from Mother's Day.
Ya can't beat a dozen roses for $4!! Also, KROGER has a great deal going on from now to the end of July. If you purchase a $300 dollar gift card they will credit it with $330 dollars. That's a 10% return on your money folks. You're not going to find a savings account with that kind of interest rate anytime soon. I know not many people spend $300 on groceries at one time but if you can arrange your budget to let you do it would be well worth it. Every household is allowed up to $1200 worth of gift cards (with $120 free money added) and they have to be in $300 dollar increments. Now to state the obvious, the cards can only be used at KROGER but that's the best store in town.
| A Glimpse Into Our HomeWe have been blessed to rent a very sweet, small house that's painted Christmas green. We love our little home! (Though hopefully the color will change soon. The landlord... ahem.... my brother is planning to put siding on it this summer and I get to pick the color!!) I've had a great time setting it up and making it our own. Momma and Lynn painted the kitchen a semi dark antique green for me during my pregnancy last summer and then last week I painted an accent wall headed into our bedroom a soft brick color. The bath is the next thing on the list if we stay in the area a while longer. I've settled on yellow with blue and white accents. Wish you could visit. You'd probably appreciate all this rambling better if you could see it in person.
This is the front door which truly only my piano students consistently use. There's a small porch to the right and a fenced in small back yard for the dog. I'm soo grateful for that back yard!!
"Missy" on the porch.
Our living room. (Right now it's not quite so clean. It's littered with a few piles of clothing as I'm realizing there are some clothes I'm simply not going to wear again and am in the process of sorting. And to that imagination add an infant floor mobile/gym and swing.)
My kitchen is lightly decorated with roosters.
The accent wall. Last summer Jarod tilled up a small garden for me. We had semi successful fall veggies since I wasn't able to work it much during that time in the pregnancy. I've already planted for this summer (and if we move I'll dig up or donate the plants to the next family. I just couldn't keep the planting bug from biting.)
We took a few evenings and laid brick between the beds. I think it fits the quaintness of the house. Well, the wee one's awake now so I'll have to continue later.... Blessings upon you from our wonderful Lord!!!
| Little Jumper!
Last week I decided to give the Jonny Jump Up a try. Now he's in it some part of everyday. At first he didn't get the hang of bouncing, but it took just a few minutes for him to figure out he could pivot and follow me all around the room!! He's just beginning to bend those knees a little...He'll have the push worked out before long.
