| Heading to the Dominican RepublicOur team of 18 will be leaving soon for the Dominican Republic. I'm stoked about our team and the way that God is drawing us into Him and nearer to one another. The team has grown in hunger and desire the past 3 months like no other group I've seen and we're expecting God to show up mightily in our lives and in our ministry. Please pray for us--we've lost a day due to airline issues, but our God is much bigger than airplanes! Pray with us according to this schedule as those who SEND are as important--if not MORE SO--than those who GO.
11 (Friday)—arrival in DR! 12 (Saturday)—manual labor, prepare for VBS, youth service, talent show 13 (Sunday)--8am Baptism Service, 10am Sunday Worship with Lord's Supper, group helping to lead worship, start of VBS 14-16 (Monday-Wednesday): VBS (morning sessions 200-300 kids, afternoon sessions 1500-2000 kids), evening worship services 16 (Wednesday): mini-Olympics after VBS 17 (Thursday): Revival Meeting 18 (Friday) 3.25pm leave DR
It's a short trip...8 days...but He's done more in less before. 7 days to take down Jericho's walls...6 days to create our world...3 days to change history...it only takes a snap of His finger to change a person/nation for eternity. We're expecting...and we'll take steps of faith. Please pray with us that His glory would be revealed.

| pray for virginia commonwealth university...harvesters and other friends... quick request--could you please pray for something?
tomorrow pastor albert and i will be going to vcu's one in Christ fellowship retreat to lead praise and to deliver God's Word. their theme is "open your eyes." would you please pray along with us, trusting that God hears the cries of His people? would you please pray that the "eyes of [their] hearts may be enlightened in order that [they] may know the hope to which he has called [them], the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints, and his incomparably great power to us who believe" (Ephesians 1.18-19)? would you pray for holy moments, encounters with the Almighty? would you pray for us as His messengers that He would allow His purposes to be accomplished? would you pray that He would receive glory and draw all to Himself?
if you would do this, i promise you--because He promised you--that your reward in heaven will be great.
"elijah was a man just like us. he prayed earnestly that it would not rain and it did not rain on the land for 3.5 years. again he prayed, and the heavens gave rain and the earth produced its crops." (james 5.17-18) as easy as it is for God to do that with nature, He can do it with His people. He hears the prayers of the saints...

| Heart-BrokenGenesis 3.8 - Then the man and his wife heard the sound of the LORD God as he was walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and they hid from the LORD God among the trees of the garden...
man, how sad must God have been that day when those whom He created in infinite love decided to reject His
love. and how sad must He have been that day when they hid from Him,
thinking that to hide from Him was better than coming to Him in
brokenness. and how sad must God be when i think that hiding is better
than coming to Him whose love and grace are infinitely wide and deep.
and how sad must God have been when He hid His face from His Son, that
our sins would be hidden from His sight forever...
O all ye who pass by, behold and see;
Man stole the fruit, but I must climb the tree;
The tree of life to all, but only me:
Was ever grief like mine?*
what an awesome God...what an amazing Savior...

| (Biggie) Help Me!Dear friends, I recently lost my planner and calendar that had all my dates and events written in it. If I've promised to be somewhere (maybe like, a retreat or a dinner or a wedding, or the cruise you wanted to take me on or the steak dinner that you owe me or the ice cream cone you wanted to buy me), could you please email me or call me and let me know where I'm supposed to be? Both my regular planner and my backup are lost and as one who's completely tied to them, I'm quite lost and confused. I don't know where I'm supposed to be. Can you please help me?
Also, I lost my emails so if you are waiting for me to respond to you and it's urgent, could you re-send your message to me (or a summary of it) so that I can get back to you? Sorry for the inconvenience...and thanks a million! | | |
