  • I went to my second art class yesterday. It was a little frustrating seeing how I was slower than the rest of the class at getting my grid and magnolia traced off. I was beginning to think that I was not going to be able to catch on and that I was wasting my time with class. But I knew that I had to stick with it and that it would get easier as it went along..and besides, learning this techniche will help me in the future doing my own paintings and drawings. I can't wait till we start the actual painting.

  • Yesterday I dug up some canna lillies out of the flower bed. I transplanted them into the biggest pots we have. I want to dig up the gold dust accuba bush today and transplant it closer to the shop so that when I am in there doing whatever it is I want to do...that I will have some privacy from pearing neighbors..living within the city limits is very convenient and I really do like it here ..but I do miss the country where if I wanted to sit on my back deck in my pj's I could without wondering who is watching me.

Our backyard has so much potential...there is so much I want to do out there..I took a video the other week with my new camera that my baby got me for christmas...it is a scan of the way the back yard looks now...I posted it here so if you like you can check it out..(I only have the before shot for now)I have some ideas about the area where the swing is...I  want to build a low deck to set the swing on and have maybe some benches along the edges to put my potted plants on. I want it to be a place where Anna and I could sit and enjoy a quiet summer evening in each others arms and know that we would not be "putting our gayness in the neighbors face" ( as Anna puts it). I personally don't care who see's us...I'm sure they all know that lesbians live here. But I have to respect her wishes.

I will try to keep it updated as I go along with my backyard projects and if any one has any ideas they would like to share with me I'd love to hear them.

Well gotta go shower and get ready for my dental appt.

  • I'm back!

Hello agian to all my xanga friends,

It's been a long time since I've updated.

I have been trying to catch up with what is going on im some of your lives..I'm glad most of you are still here and I'm  sorry that some have moved on.

Wow, so much has changed since my last entry, and I don't mean minor change either..lol.

Hmmm, where to start, well...I moved out of my house and in with a friend that I have met online. Actually I moved 3 times since Nov of last year. First I lived with my best buddy James. I stayed there for about 4 months. I had rented out my house to a friend of my sons and was paying my way at James' with that. Still not working at the time so the rent money was my only income. Slowly but surely my renter gave me less and less money and it eventually stopped all together. I knew I could no longer stay with James and not pay my way so I moved in with acouple in the next town whom I also met online. That lasted for 2 weeks...till the shit hit the fan! I am now living with  Helen. She is so cool. A widowed 55 yr old woman who simply enjoys my company and has told me more than once that I can stay as long as I like. I'm still not working so I try to pay my way by cleaning house, yardwork and occasionaly cooking. It's not enough, and at times I feel like it's time to move on again, but good ole Helen  asures me that she does not want me to go.

My house is up for sale and hopefully will sell soon. My sister is taking care of all the buisness aspects of it. We are going to have to settel for way less than we expected to get for it because vandels and thieves have found out that it is empty.

When I left my house I left with only a few grocery bags full of clothing and personal items, it was a now or never kind of thing. Lot's of reasons why I had to make a such a drastic change...looking back, I think the main reason is that one of us had to leave. Either me or my ex and he was not going anywhere..this was his home town, where all his family and friends are. Me on the other hand still have a grown child of 18 living there and a sister. But I knew I wanted to see other places and meet new people. So it just seemed like a natural thing to do. I lived in that town for 30 yrs and was so ready for something different.

I have met lots of fantastic people in this short period of time. There is one very speacial lady that I hold close to my heart. Although I know will most likely be moving again in the near future...this move will be the hardest.

I am looking forward to hearing from all my xanga friends again..you have no idea how much you helped me with your comments and friendships in the past.

I will be reading your updates and wish you all a very happy spring!!
