| Howdy Ya'll, Well, I just finished watching the Super Bowl and I can't tell you how happy I am that the Colts won. After every Championship win players always thank God for their victory and quickly move on to mom, dad, etc. What is really the most exciting part is that Tony Dungie, the coach, also a christian, stated that he was " proud to win with some godly coachs and win in a christian way." Boy, would I want to play for my North Charlotte Warriors football team again, that was our goal; to win, but most inportantly with GODLY character not just character. Anyway, I am typing this on my new laptop in my dorm room, otherwise known by many as the Lodge. We have a one antler deer head hanging named Quincy on our bunk-beds, he is the hall mascot ( I never fail to hit my head on it at least once a day). We also have different kinds of animal pelts hanging on the walls along with some other odds and ends that help make the room. I have also got a license plate on my desk that says "American by birth, Southern by the grace of God." It's funny how the guys tease me about my Southern Life. Such as, I was saying how glad I brought my toboggan to keep my ears warm when I am comming back from the gym (by the way the wind chill today was -14 F, it's supposed to be in single digits all week), anyway they didn't know what I was talking about. They didn't know why a sled would keep my ears warm. My roommate likes to bring up the Civil war alot, I mean the War of Northern Aggression and he makes ocassional remarks about me being racist . He is a great roommate by the way. Just confused . My whole hall is a great group of guys, but they are still guys. Our hall has our own basketball team, but I haven't been able to play on it because of my hammies, they are 1-1 right now. The name is Bone Saw, they have t-shirts too. Well, my classes are difficult, but I love my religious courses even though it is endless reading. I am taking 5 classes which requires about 15 books, not very small either. I have learned a lot. Guess what? I have grown a beard while I have been here. It probably needs to get a little thicker before I can officially call it a beard. When I am out in the cold and it is snowing, it feals like the hair freezes. I keep telling everyone that I am going to fly south for the winter, but...................I never do. I need to go to bed, Monday's are my biggest days. Oh yeh, I better add this so I don't appear prideful just talking about myself. How are Ya'LL doing. |
