| | This summer I'll be visiting Shanghai, Taiwan, Beijing, and
Malaysia...and maybe even more. The trip did not go off without a
hitch, however. On top of the last minute packing I had to do
(for both the trip and moving out of the apartment), Kevin and I also
had to make an additional trip back to his house in Sugar Land a few
hours before we had to leave for the airport...after we had just been
there several hours earlier. Why? He forgot the airplane
tickets for our return trip from Shanghai to Taiwan! I had to
take a break from my packing at 2am (just hours before our flight) to
take him back home so he can look for the tickets:
He wasn't expecting me to sneak up on him and snap a photo ^_^
After retrieving the tickets, it was pretty much smooth sailing from
there. We arrived in Shanghai and got to our hotel by 8pm, June
9th. We live on the top floor...and for some reason they don't
care about guests walking out onto the rooftop:
Seriously, the windows are huge and there's nothing stopping you from just walking outside!
On top of that, there isn't much preventing you from jumping off!
There's a railing, but...
...it's not very hard to jump or fall down...
...and it's a long way down from the 8th floor!
We found an Ajisen Ramen store nearby (味千拉麵), and I had pork cutlet curry rice:
For lunch the next day, we went to Zoe's and had sandwiches:
Italian salami, mushrooms, roasted eggplants and bell peppers, dijon mustard, all on wholegrain bread = sandwich heaven
That's it for now...gotta go exchange some more money!
