Its been almost a year and things have definitely changed.  As always, me actually writing on this thing has not changed much....far and few.  But better late then never.  My whole mindset has changed ever since starting work and realizing that school is in the past.  It may be a possibility in the future, but as right now, I'd like to establish myself somewhere.  See what else I'm capable of besides in a controlled classroom with books and notes.  Knowledge comes in two ways, books and life experiences.  Book have taught me much, but the life experiences have taught me even greater things.  Responsibilities beyond those of projects for grades.  Responsibilities that place others in your hands.  Having people depend on you to do what your capable of, and more.  What I speak about is more than just work.  Its relationships, its life.

Well, I hate to be a biatch, but I did say that I am dedicating the rest of my xanga entries to stupids.  So here it is....
Lets say that someone wants to drop a load of stuff to someone's house and its the middle of the night.  So he drives to his house and notice that the space in front of the place is empty (mainly because it is a fire hydrant and a driveway) but he decides, "what the heck no one is going to drive down this road this late at night" and stops the car in the middle of the road and starts unloading.  Just as he starts, a car comes down the road and stops behind the car, a good few meters back.  What should he do?

First of all, never stop in the middle of the road, for any reason.  If you need to drop off someone or just stop somewhere, pull over to the side to allow for someone behind you to go.  Second, seeing space, no matter what is there, one should park or stand there if unloading stuff.  Third, if a car is coming down the block, have the courtesy to move over so that they can pass and not have to wait for your stupid ass.  Fourth, do not take your time.  Just because it is night time and you figure that they should not be in a rush to get anywhere, there is no reason that they have to wait for your stupid ass.

So can anyone guess what stupid incident happened?

So this entry is not for stupid people....look anyway.  Anyone bored or wants to read something interesting should grab a hold of "State of Fear" by Michael Crichton.  I've read it a while back but never thought to write about it until now.  Here's a link to some info on the book
http://www.michaelcrichton.net/fear/index.html
It revolves around the issue of global warming.  In some ways, its similar to the movie "An Inconvenient Truth" but not so much.

The thing about this book (not to ruin anything) is that it make you think, about everything.  About what we know and about what we know is true.  Can't give it away too much.  But give it a try.

I think I am going to dedicate my blogs for the rest of the year to stupid people.
Reason:
Today I was driving my baby to an interview so I caught the 3rd ave entrance to the BQE.  This entrance merges with the Belt, for those that don't know.  So as I stop to yield for traffic as the sign says, I see space for me to cut in between a car and a bike....and I mean there was enough space.  So I don't hesitate and make the cut, clean.  The guy on the bike, apparently not happy about what I did (probably cause he thinks he's a big man with a big dick and just got cut nice) proceeds to come around my right, cross the shoulder, and cut me back, tight, so I had to press on the brake hard.  But I don't hold no anger so whatevers.  Then the fucker drives up then hits the brake hard to a sudden stop, like he's looking to get me in an accident, either with him or with someone behind me.  At this point I'm pissed cause he's just fucking with me, and I don't take that shit.  So I drive a little harder, coming close enough to touch his back tire but not actually hit him.  After this cat-and-mouse crap goes on for a few seconds, I calmed down and cut out to the right lane and drove hard to pass him on the right and forget this shit.  The guy, still not happy, decided to cut me again, so he hits the right, obviously with no space available to do so.  So as he comes closer to "push" me out of the lane, I'm pretty much in the lane already, so his front tire hits the side of my car (or I nudged his tire, kinda forgot which one).  Since the hit wasn't hard, he didn't fall off (damn), and follows me for a while until he has enough space to pull to the side of my car.  He goes on to say that I hit him and that he was a cop and he said he should pull me over.  No badge produced, no sirens, nothing.  I didn't believe his ass, nor did I care.  So I said that there was nowhere to pull over cause we were on the highway so no way I was pulling over.  So hes still tagging me and I finally got sick of the shit and told him I was gonna get off Hamilton, so he just followed.  As we were passing the exit for Prospect, he pulls along side me and said "So you are not pulling over?"  I finally had enough, so I pulled onto a shoulder got out and proceeded to explain to his stupid ass how he fucking hit me.  And Annie keeps asking him to show his badge, with no luck.  And him with his fucking thick Russian accent, he goes how I cut lines and shit and how I shouldn't be too emotional on the road if I had a bad day with my girl.  I was like damn, he don't know me and shit yet insults me and my girl.  Then he mentions the one shit that set me off: he stated that I should be more careful since I "obviously" had an accident before and cut my lip up the way it was.  Fucking cop my ass. I duly slammed my foot down on that shit.  I raised my voice a few decibels and fucking state that since he doesn't know shit he should not act like he does, stating things that were totally uncalled for.  Well fuck him.  He then goes on to ask whether I value lives cause what I did put him in danger and since he was a dad, its even more important.  I feel sorry for his kid, with such a stupid dad.  Its not whether I valued life but whether he valued his own life.  With him doing was he was doing, instigating an accident and hot dogging and shit and attempting to cut me off, he should know better.  He was on a motorcycle for god's sake.  If I wanted to get him, I would've hit him from behind and ran his ass over.  He then starts his bike up again and said I should not drive with too much emotion and threatens that if he wanted to, he could have had a "unit" escort me off the road and takes thing from there and that I was very lucky to get off.  I was like "whatever" and he drives off, cutting the dotted lines to cut a car down the way.  What a bitch.  Annie insists that he probably wasn't a cop and thought he might be able to "scare" some bitch-ass asians with that tactic.  Probably right, but it didn't work.  Too bad.

So stupid people, be warned.  You might be xanga-ed.  And for those that don't want to read about stupid people, well, you're warned too.

What is wrong with people?  Don't get me wrong, I know it is nothing new, but what's making fun of people, especially chinese (or asian cause apparently we are all chinese) gonna do for everyone?  Just the other day I was sitting on the train and there was a group of black people (no there is no politically correct way of saying it, they are black) three adults/teens and a child were sitting across from me.  As we finished crossing the manhattan bridge and stopped into grand street, one of them goes "hey, chinese people" to the others and then continued to make sounds "imitating" us.  Like I said, its nothing new.  But what I didn't like was that that situation was unprevoked and uncalled for.  I do laugh at chinese jokes here and there, i.e. Carlos Mencia, because that is what it is: a joke.  That, however, was plain demeaning.  It wasn't a joke for all to laugh; it was a joke for them to laugh.  And it applies to other nationailites/ religions as well.  Some jokes are funny, cause the connotation and the presentation does not imply demeaning others, rather laugh about stereotypes.  But the reason I point out chinese than others is because we get it from everyone: white, blacks, hispanics, mexicans....everyone.  Not so much from white people than the others.  And we get it more so than others.  And all this occurs in New York City, the "melting pot of the world".  People aren't discrete with what they say, as if we have no feeling, or ears.  Maybe they think that all chinese people don't understand english.  Everyone has a term of damnation for their respective culture.  Shall I list them?  Or are people's ears to sensitive to hear it?  In terms of chinese:  Chink, Chino, Ching-chong, mr. wong.  You name it, I heard it.  And its all demeaning.  But you know what, I'd don't totally blame people for their stupid habits.  Chinese people themselves are too lenient, letting people get away with it without so much a word.  It might not do any good, but at least something was done.  I myself have gone through a number of episodes, and for the most part I say something.  Maybe I should follow in their footsteps.  See how they see right?  See a black person, make some racial slur or make fun of their fried chicken.  Or maybe some mexican and their job of mowing my lawn.  Maybe they would learn then.  There is so much more to say about this topic; I could even write a book with it.  But I will say this:  what I hate most is that people blatantly voice their stupidity openly.  I for one don't care for it.  I know people do it but I don't need to hear it.  So do YOU want this crap going in your face or behind your back?

Oh and I do know that not everyone is like that and I shouldn't generalize, but question is, how does one separate the bad from the good?
