Well, the new alarm system is installed and working. Things are quiet again.

And as usual, I'm sick again. It seems that everytime I go somewhere and get around other people, I catch some bug or something. This time, I think I even know who I got it from.

Doug and I went to Walmart and there was this lady behind me in line who struck up a conversation. Trying to be nice, I politely listened, but she kept getting closer and closer, like she needed to whisper something to me. In fact, she got so close that she was talking to my nose, I think. lol I kept trying to back off from her, but I didn't have much room to move around in without knocking someone else over. And all that time, I was thinking about how I hoped she didn't have anything contagious. lol And now here I am with another nasty virus.

Oh well, at least now I can rest. My alarm system is working really, really well. Don't have to worry about any little girls sneaking in or out of the house while I'm hacking and coughing and feeling miserable.

Perhaps you could hang your keys in such a way as moving them except by you triggers the alarm system?  lol

sorry you are sick again, you really don't need it.  You can do some pretty dolls though. I love your dolls.

You definitely need to boost up your immune system to stave off those infections.

I'm glad that you finally got your check from SS. They certainly were slow on yours, after telling you that you were approved.

The State is paying my Medicare Part B premium, so I get the full amount I'm entitled to. I don't know how much of my medical stuff Medicare will cover, like with my upcoming mammogram. I tried reading the Adobe format brochure about Medicare, but it gets a bit confusing at times.

That check you got... was that the lump sum retro amount? Also, did they go back an additional year from when you applied? They did for me! In fact, they said I qualified all the way back to when I quit Nanawale's office, but could only go 12 months back.

Over half of my retro is spent already, but about third went to my 'new' Jeep Cherokee. At least I now have an SUV that will take me just about anywhere I want to go on this island, since it's a 4x4! Carl at first said it's ugly & he doesn't like it, but when I suggest using the Toyota, which has AC when the Jeep doesn't, he says no. Aren't kids funny?

By the way, I believe you missed where I mentioned that Carl's surgery was to be at the surgical clinic, on an outpatient basis... the same place I went for both my surgical breast biopsy & mastectomy. Seems his surgeon, like mine, is a partner-owner in that clinic. He wouldn't have been able to stand staying even one full day in a hospital. He's too antsy & is already getting bored, but is too uncomfortable to want to go anywhere he doesn't have to!

Get reprimanded more times for talking too loud.  So we could convo across the parking lot.  Ha!  I think its because your so adorable, people want to get close.  Congrats on the alarm system, but some day you are going to have to just flat "trust" your daughter.

Aaaaarrrg!  I hate the people who come into retail stores sick and breathe all over the workers and the other customers and make everybody sick.  And the people who show up at Wal-Marts-- don't get me started.  Truly some of the scariest customers in the known universe.  Anyway, I hope you feel well soon!

Good to hear (about the alarm system). I know I was a bit of a rebel when I was younger, and even snuck out of home a few times, but I never did anything that would get me into a lot of trouble or anything at least. Just went and stayed at my friends house. Ahh.. the youth these days..... (Coming from a girl of 21!! hehehehe!!)

Hope you get over your flu soon darl.

peace
