Well, when in doubt as to what to write in an online journal, summarize your workload for Hell Week and finals.

I'm actually pretty well-off this year; my "big" papers and projects are coming due at really convenient times.  I already handed in my deuxième brouillon for French last week, on the development of George Sand's conception of the bourgeoisie.  My class was rewarded for its efforts with an absolutely amazing gourmet meal at Chateau Falk last night, prepared by the adorable Chef Bob.  (Mmmmm, orange stuff.)

Then today, a few minutes ago, I handed in the last paper for abnormal psych, which was pretty much a joke.

Due tomorrow is my revised short story for Hawkes.  I've been fiddling with it, but tonight I have to get serious about inserting some steam imagery and finding a new title.  (I love that such things can become a major concern of my academic activities.  Suck it, bio majors.)  I'm not terribly worried about that, though I do feel an impetus to make it really good; hopefully my nonchalance won't work against that.

Then on Friday comes the ten page Chaucer paper I haven't really started yet...but I've kind of gone to my happy place on that, you know, where I say to myself, "You always get everything done.  This too will get done.  Don't worry about it."  And I had such plans to do 3 pages, 3 pages, 4 pages.  Well, I can still do six tonight and four tomorrow...yeah.

I also have to get the final details of my visa packet together before I leave for New York at the crack of dawn Sunday.  I think I have everything but my passport pics, which Bev and I are getting together today.  As long as we're talking about study abroad, I have to go to the registrar and bitch slap someone; apparently, even though my study abroad app was processed through their own office, they have me listed as dropping out of school and all of my loans are getting cancelled.  I give my mother credit that she was calm when she told me about that one.  Maybe she has a happy place too.

Only two finals, French and Chaucer, and they don't start until Thursday.

And let's see: Chowdah/Team International Christmas Party, EngSoc Fireside Christmas (Big Brother is watching you...drink cider), Snowden Til Two, Raging Stitches Party...all of this on Friday and Saturday...

As well as my last few days with Ajay.

I had sort of a three-tiered weekend:  very collegey, very specifically Lycoming, and very reminiscent of high school.  Yeah, I know.

On Friday me and my pals went to Lambda Chi's black and white party, so of course we had to all get dressed up beforehand--my favorite part of any big social function.  Very high school, to me at least.  Then the party itself was quintesstial college, more than I'm usually involved with; I even played beer pong for the first time actually at school.  McGair, Joelle, random boy CJ and I went to Two Boys in the middle of the night--also a first for me.

Last night Sarah and Pete cut my hair.  High school feelings for me.  Then the chowdah played Monopoly with random boy Sean.

And now it's all about homework.  Yay college.

Life has been shit lately, just compoundingly so, but--you know, life is built from the petals up, and just for a moment after I leave my Hawkes class and walk back to Williams in the wet morning, I feel beautiful; and again, the world, fate, whatever--free will?--takes care of me.  There's a little safety valve built into my emo tendencies where grief spills into a reservoir filled with "Sunday in the Park with George," where I can float and be ok and not hate his name.

Chad likes my bag.

Transistion music...bumbumbum bum bumbum bum bumbum bum bumbum....repeat...no more sickness.  Everybody loves Louis.
