DISTANT TRAVELER

I feel like a traveler from a far away land.
Carrying the world in the palm of my hand.
I feel like I always lose my friends.
I wake up trying to make this nightmare end.

Everywhere I go I listen to the stories.
Some of losses and some of glories.
At times I feel when to others I speak.
My language is of some kind of freak.

I just wish I had a companion for traveling,
someone who could inform me when I'm babbling.
At times I just feel so alone,
and at these times I like to roam.

One Last Time

As these tears fall,
it is to you I call.
I look back on the past,
and see how it all ended so fast.

You’re always on my mind,
someone like you I can not find.
Would it be such a crime,
to hold you one last time?

Time has been rough,
and without you it’s been tough.
I wish I could go back in time,
and make everything right.

I think about what I would say,
if i ever see you another day.
I would take you in my arms,
and never allow you to again be harmed.

I wish there was still an us.
I feel like I’ve been hit by a bus.
With you all my secrets I shared,
and for you I still care.

I want to look you in the eyes,
and prove that i’m not most guys.
Our relationship was ended so unfairly,
and living without you I’m doing barely.

One last time I wish to kiss you,
and prove just how much i miss you.
I hope one day we can again be together,
and we will be living so much better.

Hardly a day goes by,
that you don’t cause me to cry.
We used to be so happy,
now I’ve become so sappy.

Our love for each other was not delayed,
but by kharma I feel betrayed.
I will never forget all those special nights,
and to relive them every fight i would fight.

Laying with you under the stars,
hiding from all the passing cars.
Arms wrapped around each other we were clinging,
while our hearts together were singing.

If only I had thought things through,
all the trouble would not have been brought to you.
I keep our promise and look nightly at the moon,
hoping i may get the chance to see you soon.

Too quickly from me you were taken away,
we’ll be together again eventually one day.
If only one last time I could be with you,
I would prove my love is forever true.

Graduation(written last year)

Let us raise up our glasses
to this year that has passed us
Shall I propose a toast
in this time that haunts like a ghost?
We have finished another year
and continue on into a future unclear.
As some of us go our seperate ways,
let us not forget our high school days.
Hopefully we won't be forgotten,
even if we were a little rotten.
With this year gone,
a new one is beginning to dawn.
Everyone look to your left and right
and not do so with fright.
Look at all the familiar faces
and not forget the many places.
Think back to all we've done
and remember the friends that you've won.
Although this time may be sad,
in the end it's not so bad.
For those of you that aren't leaving yet,
live each day without any regret.
Make new friends wherever you go,
but don't forget the ones you already know.
Take your time and do things right,
otherwise you'll hold no goal in sight.
Let the seniors leave some wisdom behind
and all the rest make sure to keep it in mind.
Students thank your parents for all they've done,
and parents, congratulate your daughter or son.
Never forget to do all you can,
and always lend a helping hand
because something might one day happen to you
and you'll be looking for someone to come help you.
Always try to ease your stress.
Advice tends to make me digress.
Take a look around.
Listen to the sounds.
Take it all in.
Enjoy your time with friends.
Share with others a good laugh,
and enjoy the time you have.
As the years pass us by
look back and see if you don't cry.
Live life to the fullest
and hang out with those you find coolest.
As the year draws to an end
don't forget your past friends.
If you remember anything I say,
don't forget your high school days.

A Party to Remember

Here's a little story,
of a party gone wrong.
Let us start it off with
a story of Lisa and John.

They were big dogs on campus,
making the best of senior year.
Both were changing their ways,
neither one living any longer in fear.

Jerry was throwing a party,
Lisa and Johgn were finally invited,
they were going to be cool,
and not get over excited.

At the party,
Jerry had booze.
John made the wrong choice,
when it came time to choose.

John had only a few.
He felt like he could still drive.
It's a sure shame,
John didn't arrive home alive.

His eyes turned wide,
as he took that turn too fast.
The noise was great,
when into the tree he crashed.

The news was taken hard,
when it was found out he was wasted.
On every billboard in town,
his face was shortly pasted.

To make things worse,
as if it could get more terrible,
Poor Lisa lost her love,
and took her life shortly before the funeral.

At the very same party,
were Pauline and Doug.
It was time for new things,
particularly trying out drugs.

Doug didn't know when to stop,
everything he wanted to try.
It came as little surprise,
when he overdosed and died.

On this particular night,
it was disturbing to see,
everyone's reaction,
especially Pauline.

It was such a bad decision,
to throw the wild party.
To top it all off,
it looks like prison for Jerry.

Shouldabeen Sonnet

I wrote this truly lovely sonnet,

But I spilled ketchup on it.

I hope that you don't mind,

But they were some awesome fries.

To it, I did truly try,

But it just wouldn't dry.

I guess it's just like us,

always in a constant fuss.

The end of our time draws near,

Your personality becomes clear.

Why did I even waste my time,

I feel like I committed a crime.

I wished my words could've changed you,

But it seems there's nothing I could do.

I poured my heart it every verse,

but it proved to only be a curse.
