The new xanga confuses me...

Wednesday, October 10, 2007

twice today, and once last week, I was mistaken for a high schooler. Do I really look that young? hmm...

Do you know what's amazing? That all the major networks now have their tv shows--full episodes--available online. what's not amazing? This is also not amazing since now much more of my time could be spent watching shows that I don't need to watch.

Another amazing thing... Project runway starts again on Nov. 14th!

I still don't have a job, and I'm still ok with that.

My website is coming along :)

Recently I purchased Adobe CS3--for those who don't know, it's all the programs designers use...photoshop, illustrator, indesign, and so forth. Two of the programs are Dreamweaver and Flash. Dreamweaver is used to design websites while Flash is also used to make websites (those flashy-haha-kinds that are more animated) and internet banner ads and whatnot. During school I never really learned how to use these programs. Seeing as many jobs I'm looking at applying to want me to know both those programs and also since a lot would like a link to my online portfolio (which doesn't currently exist), I've decided it would be helpful to learn how to use them.

And so... I ordered two books, each a little over 500 pages. I'm currently 144 pgs into my first book. It's kind of odd, I never read this much out of my textbooks when I was taking classes...

Besides all that reading, I've also been reading through the Chronicle's of Narnia series. They're amazing books! I'm fairly sad that I'm not in the CF area right now because there is going to be a group meeting at The Lampost for the next 7 months (there are 7 books in the series) discussing the books. It isn't going to be a group to discuss all the spiritual imagery and whatnot, but rather to become part of the books... to "Fall in love with the characters, get lost in the landscapes, to enter a new world." as the email that was sent to me said. I'm on book 6 and wish I could be in the group, rereading the books and discussing them...

oh well. back to my dreamweaver reading....

SO many things are happening. I'm not even sure where to begin. God has placed so much before me these last months... and everything seems to be finding its right place. From Paris, to camp, to staying extra weeks at camp, to making new friends--it has all fit together as only He could make it.

Applying for jobs--not the most fun thing to do. I've applied to 3 places! And many more applications probably need to be sent.

I find myself missing Paris. What a beautiful city. In my head I thought about going back to finish learning French at the school we went to... but it's a little too scary and a little too much of a jump for me to do that alone. I would definitely love to learn the whole French language.

I'm really happy with where I am right now. But... I'd kind of like to get a job and get out of my parents' house--as much as I love them... and I love them a lot... it's time to keep moving on.

Katelyn and Lydia, I MISS you guys!! I hope to see you both SOON!
