Spring Semester has finally approached and I have been long overdue once again...oh what college does to you...
well yes, my semester finally started this week and it was quite enjoyable I have to say...i actually looked forward to it ever since my winter break started...
so here's the schedule:
mass communication: cute old guy who lets us out early all the time
spanish: very fun since most of my friends are in the same class...so that's nice
english: my professor is awesome. she's so cool and she's giving out discounts for WICKED tickets! anyone want to go again?

global ethics and religion: very interesting class...i had this same professor last semester for my ethics class and he's so smart. it amazes me.
history of film (1945-present): long class because we have a lab that goes from 7 to 10 at night!!! it's just watching a movie...but still...
film aesthetics: this class is fun too...i'm learning so much
so that's a little snippet of all the classes i'm taking...of course there's so much more to it so i'll try to emphasize a little bit on the ones that still linger in my head...
well if you didn't happen to know, chapman has a film school and that is where the last 2 of my classes (look up there ^^) are...and the film school is like a block away...sort of off campus and it bothers me cuz i have never walked that far so now i'm getting an extreme workout...like bullets of sweat drenching down but yet, i still glisten of course

so for my hist of film class i had to watch the oldies first...never really got to appreciate them but when i finally got to see it, i was amazed at the cinematography because this movie was made back in the 1950s and it was extremely well put together.
but it's not just this movie that made me

but it was in my other film class (film aesthetics) that made me go

for the first time in a long time...
if any of you have the time or are a big MOVIE BUFF, please do this for me:
1. go to a video rental store (blockbuster, hollywood video, etc. or even netflix!)
2. rent this movie: DONNIE DARKO (2001) with jake gyllenhall
3. and PLEASE explain to me what that whole movie was about!!!!
and if you've seen it, then let me know what you think.
on a side note: the movie was extremely well put together with its mise-en-scene, special effects, characterization, and storyline, but it's with this storyline that baffles me to this day...
i read some commentaries about it and of course, they're all open to other interpretations as well...but man, after watching it, i was completely baffled/confused for the longest time.
if you do get a chance to watch it, DO NOT read any commentaries about it before...it loses the

effect...and that's the best part of it all especially watching a movie like that..
another tangent to this blog entry:
i lost my Office Dvd's and if i ever find them, i'm throwing a party, you're all INVITED!

so if you happen to find/buy me new season 2 and 3 of The Office, we will celebrate with a bonanza.

R.I.P. old season 2 and 3 dvd's of The office...until i find or buy you again...you shall always be in my heart

P.S. LOST STARTED!

mUAhAhAHahHAhAhahahhahahahahahAHAHAHAHAH. and i got to see matthew fox in real life on an airplane! it was when i was coming home to LA from HAWAII!!!

ok...um...i have nothing else to talk about...and i don't have a picture of myself this time...so you'll just have to deal with this...

t-vo out!
