I am packing my things now and am doing a lot of "last times" (You know what I mean) These four months have been an unbelieveable, amazing and wonderful experience that I would do again in a heartbeat. I cannot believe it is already Christmas. It seems like yesterday I was packing clothes thinking "I am going to freeze because I do not have any real winter clothes." As with most situations like this my feelings are bittersweet. I am sad to leave this period of my life, the friends I have made here, but I am also looking forward to renewing old relationships my family and friends again. I know this experience has changed me for the better.

Things I am going to miss:
My host family
My Friends that were a part of this experience
Beautiful Danish Women
Danish Lifestyle
Riding my bike everyday
Danish Food
European Music
Beer
Places open after 2am
Schwarma
Danish Style
Hygge
Free Healthcare
Tivoli
Hot Dog Stands
Being European

Things I am looking forward to:
My Family and Friends
Cheaper everything
My Car
Music
Things in English
Basketball and the Mavs
Warmer Weather
Longer Days
Easy SMU classes
Free Night and Weekend Minutes
Jack in the Box
Taco Bell
Wal-Mart
Customer Service
Decent Food Portions
Dedman Center
Last Semester at SMU
Nice Cars
Smiling People
Guitar
Piano
My Shoes

See you all soon. What a good feeling. Last night, had a good night chilling with my Danish friends, and now I am going to Prague for a couple days! It's a plane! No, It's Mark!

So as a study break last night, my fellow mustang Sam, and his Danish roommate, Jen, invited me to go on a night flight in a single engine plane. So instead of hitting the books, I hit the runway. The plan was to take a tour over Copenhagen, but as we were about to enter Copenhagen airspace the air traffic controller would not let us in because there was some election going on. So instead we flew over other cities, still an amazing experience. Here are some pics of my adventure.

Good ol' American Plane!

Me and the Plane

Call Number...Jen complained about saying the name because it was registered in US and the form is different than Denmark

Amazed by a prop

In the air, Co-Pilot Mark Lau

Passanger, Sam Green

Pilot, Jen

It was such an amazing experience. One minute, we were driving on the runway in the car, then we were driving on the runway in the plane, then we were flying. We were flying so low that the city looked like a minature town. It was weird to have so much control over a plane! I can't wait to do that again, Thanks Jen and Sam. now I definately want to go skydiving. Anyone down?

Then we went back to Sam and Jen's place to study. Jen's apartment has Danish style, not all Danish people live with DAnish style, but most that can do, I do not think these pictures do justice but it kinda gives you the idea of Danish inspirations. This is basically how I want my bachelor pad to look.

Only one more presentation on Monday then I am off to Prague for a couple days! Then back home on Christmas eve! down, but here I am, already in Decemeber. Heading into the last week
and things are looking pretty good. I just
finished my history and communications paper. All that is left are to
study for 2 finals and finish a marketing book and presentation. I want
the next week to pass so that I can be done with school, but I know
that means I will be nearing the end of my time in Denmark. So my new
initiative is to "party hard" and savor the last few weeks of this
beautiful city. No excuses.

This picture symbolizes my "Savor" initiative...

Here are some pics around the city this time...oh how I love the Christmas Spirit...
As you know, I was planning on going to Junior Senior this week, but then I found out that the Fugees are having a reunion tour and it just so happens to be in Copenhagen. So as a result this is going to be a krunk weekend with Junior Senior and the Fugees! Other interesting news in the world of music is the announcement that Copenhagen will host the 2006 MTV Europe Music Awards, which is kinda weird because they are a little behind on music, but nonetheless its a cool thing and I wish I was here. Did some work in the morning then went to volunteer at the American Chamber of Commerce Thanksgiving Dinner. It is basically an event for employees and families of American companies in Denmark. The event took place at the Marriott Copenhagen. Volunteering entailed decorating before the dinner, and entertaining the kids during the dinner and show. It was very fun and memorable. Kids are fun. My host brother is cool and hilarious, but mostly when they translate what he says, but most of these kids spoke English so the hilarity was direct. My duties revolved around making sure they were sharing the XBoxes, judging twister, helping them color in the lines, make native american "feather" hats with construction paper, building legos, making bead necklaces, and making cup-phones. If you ask anyone that was there, I will be probably remembered as the guy who was spinning the twister thing with one hand, and holding a beer in the other. Haha.

Good Times.

After the dinner, I went directly to Tivoli. The Christmas decorations were up and it was very beautiful. I think I am going back a couple more times before I leave, it is just a nice place to walk around, have a cup of Irish Coffee or "Glogg" and enjoy the Christmas Spirit.
