Did Dr. Luke's Practice Change after he met Jesus?

I was just pondering this thaught yesterday, but I wonder if Luke's medical practitioning changed after he met Jesus. Did he continue to give people pills, tonics, remedies, and herbal concoctions? Or did he just pray for everyone to be healed after that? I don't know myself but I imagine it would be interesting to find out if there was a Chronicles of Luke or a diary hidden somewhere that would give us more information into this interesting possibility.

 What do you think?

I fail to see why a being a follower of Christ would stop one utilising existing medicinal knowledge to help people. We are not expected to call for miracles all the time for everything including headaches. Not if there are aspros available. Luke wasn't a JW after all.

@Lovegrove - By JW do you mean John Wesley? (Sorry for my ignorance) Some people dont believe in going to the doctor or the hospital because they think it means that they are not walking in faith. I am not one of those people but I do think God wants us to seek him as our Ultimate Healer first becasue he is. I have many, many, of my own personal testimonies of God healing people, so I know it is possible.

I did not mean John Wesley. He would not be so mad as to refuse an aspro if he had a headache. Not that they had aspros then. I eamnt the Jehovahs Witnesses, who seem to prefer death to having a blood transfusion. Mad as hatters!
To utilise Man's inventive mind is not to deny any power that prayer may have. Everybody looks both ways before they step into a busy street. They don't close their eyes and step out praying. They don't do it twice, that's for sure.

Hey Derek. Luke was a gentile and probably never physically met Jesus, so I assume you are talking of his conversion as when he "met" Jesus? Either way, we know he was a physician because Paul refers to him as such, so he was definitely practicing medicine even after his conversion. And as for his regular practice, the Bible never talks much of that. We know he traveled with Paul and was his closest assistant in the ministry. But he is not referred to as Luke "the preacher" or Luke "the healer" or Luke "the prophet." He definitely remained a physician even as he was a missionary traveling with Paul, so it would seem clear to me that he still practiced medicine as a profession as Paul practiced tentmaking as a profession. That is my opinion . Here is a great Luke biography:

Good question... I would be inclined to think that he would have put more trust in Jesus after his conversion than in his medical profession. That's just my opinion. When I received revelation from God that Jesus is still alive today,(still heals today) it changed everything. But I'm also not one of those to refuse medical help when my faith is weak. ~

@lumpyoatmeal14 - Thank you for the link. That was a very interesting read. I found out some stuff about Luke that I did not know. I personally think that the book of Luke itself and the six miracles that it testifies of, is proof enough that Luke may have changed the way he practiced. Including this scripture:

Luke 10:19 Behold, I give you power to tread on serpents and scorpians, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing by any means shall hurt you.

Why would Luke continue practicing medicine the way he always did, when he knew that through Jesus nothing could by any means harm them?

@derekwilson24 - I am sure it affected how he did his work and he probably relied much less on medicine. But regardless, I am sure that he still practiced regular medicine as a physician, but not necessarily exclusively after his conversion. That is my point
