Went on a Vegas trip with Phoebe to meet up with Aurelia and Mitch (who only stayed for 1 night).

Went shopping with 3 girls send from our Taiwan holding company to audit our company, a routine thing they do every year. Also met up with Ken there and the 5 of us had dinner at Tokyo Lobby. 1/17 Universal Studios
Went with the 3 auditors for a day of fun. 2/3 Universal Studios
Had a friend that came friend Taiwan, and since I bought an anual ticket (for the price of a day ticket and no black out days with a coke can), thought I take them there. 2 times in 2 weekends in a row made it semi-boring. 2/4 dinner w/Cindy C. 2/10 Messenger
Saw a movie with Howard and Ava. Edmund and Shirley went also, but they chickened out and saw another movie instead. 2/23 lunch w/Fandy 2/24 Santa Monica
Went shopping with Edmund, Shirley, Philip Yuyu, and Cherry. Lots of walking and bought myself a nice pair of sunglasses... a little expensive, but I really like it. 3/2 Pearl
"Beyond Paradise" hosted by UCLA's CSA at Club Pearl of Hollywood. It was alright, the lack of people made it seem not as fun though. There are 2 rooms, 1 base level room, and a mid-sized patio. There were only enough people to fill the main room and 3/4 of the patio. Oh, the theme was "school uniform."

Dinner with Howard, Linda, Edmund, and Shirley at a Tai place in the SG Hilton plaza. Afterwards, we headed on over to Tina's bday party at 1020 in Arcadia.

| 10/28 Party @ Shuli's in Long Beach
Halloween party that night was fun, the whole place took Shuli a pretty long time to decorate. The most impressive parts were the smoke machine that made the whole room foggy and the music that made the atmoshpere club-like. A lot of the usual people were there, plus bunch of other people that I met but don't remember the names of.

Had dinner with Cindy at Tian Ren, it was just a nice night hanging out with an old friend that I haven't seen for a while.  11/3 Borat
Went to see Borat in Arcadia with Edmund, Eric, Ella, Shirley, Diana, Henry, Alex, and Ruby (I feel like I'm forgetting some one). It's a really offensive, but funny movie. It had its sick moments, but I thought it was a good movie overall. 11/4 The Prestige
A last minute idea to see The Presitge with Jean, Paul, and Eddie because we were bored. Although I love magic, it was only an okay movie and wouldn't really recommend it. 11/5 Clipper's game
Courtesy of our forwarder, Eagle Global Logistics, went to the first sports game of my life. It was a fun night. 11/10 Opium
Went drinking with Edmund, Shirley, Fandy, Joyce, Wilson, Jonny, Ken, Daniel, and Candice (I don't think that's her name though...) at Opium in City of Industry. Another fun night with Shirley eventually passing out at Garden Cafe.

11/11 Traffic school
Finally went to traffic school for my ticket, it wasn't as bad as i thought it would be. We talked about a lot of random things in the class and, of course, complained about how we don't deserve our tickets.  Oh, there was a father-and-daughter there, they both got tickets about a week apart. hehe. 11/17 Rendezvou @ Pearl
It was an interesting night, and some stuff happened that I don't know how I should feel about. Let's just put it this way, it wasn't my best clubbing night.

11/18 Happy Feet
Semi-lied to and got dragged to watch Happy Feet with Edmund, Eric, Ella, and Shirley. It had its cute moments, but not a movie I would recommend. 11/24 Vegas Joey concert
Went to Vegas with Kelly, Martha, and Daniel. Martha and Kelly stayed in the same room, while Daniel and I shared a room with Fandy, Allen, and Wilson. Edmund and his whole family also went, also saw Sheng, Didi, and some other HKSU people. This was the first concert in my life and Joey was good, 光良 was great, and this other guy that I don't know his name of performed as well. | Time for another monthly update! I have most of the pix, but the computer at my work won't recognize my memory stick.  so i have to figure out a way, before that though it'll be all text. 10/1 Olivia's birthday
Went up to Thousand Oaks to celebrate my friend's birthday at her friend's apartment. I had no idea how far (70 miles) Thousand Oaks is until I actually drove there myself. It was a fun and interesting day, especially the pinata part. 10/4 HKSU mid-autumn festival
In the spirit of celebrating mid-autumn, HKSU held a dinner and some fun festive events. 10/12 ROCSA house party at Jackson's
Another traditional house party held by the ROCSA folks, and the usual entrance fee that covers for the "unlimited" alcohol served by the member bartenders. 10/13 Kanpei
Went to La Kaffa with Edmund to meet up with Ava and Wayne, where we met Vicky (her name will show up again the next day). Then we went to Kanpei in Diamond Plaza to have a few drinks with my friends. 10/14 HKSU dim sum, karaoke, party at Sonia's
Dim sum in San Gabriel with the HKSU old and new members. Followed by karaoke with Edmund, Diana, Shirley, Rosana, George, Nick, Tina, and Linda. Then Diana, Edmund, and I went to dinner at Jazz Cat Cafe. After dinner, we decied to take up on Vicky's offer to party in Riverside at Sonia's place, which lasted until 3 am. 10/19 UCLA CA Level 3 clubbing
Went to Level 3 with Edmund, Katherine, Diana, Seaver, Shirley, Rosana, Jason, Jia, Henry, Li, Nancy, Kevin, Tina, Linda, and whoever I missed. I never knew that you needed to be 18 for 24 hours for them to let you in, so Diana got left outside cuz midnight was her bday. We then went to DJ Cafe afterwards for some grub and to celebrate Diana's 18th birthday. Got back and slept at Edmund's place at 5 am. Yes, I made it to work with 3 hours of sleep. 10/26 ICON Halloween at Century Club
Went to Century Club last night with Edmund, Katherine, and Diana. There, we met up with Ken, Howard, Linda, Shirley, Rosana, Rosana's friend (didn't even talk to her), Li, Li's friend (dark Taiwanese girl, never got her name), Ruby, Jason, Jia, Alex, (coming up are my friends) Andy, Andrew, Vincent, Eddie, and Vana. Saw many friends there as well. Afterwards, we went to Garden Cafe to chow down and drank some ice lemon tea. Got back to Edmund's place at 6 am. Got 2 hours of sleep, shower, and here i am at work. | | |
| 9/15 SD trip
Had dinner at Yard House with Dylan, Edmund, Ken, Vivian, Katherine, and Jeff. I never realize how good their Korean BBQ is!
Vivian, Edmund, and I then left for San Diego that night. We got to Howard's place around 11:30 pm, talked for a while, and played mah jong until 3 am. His parents are really nice, brought us snacks and drinks while we were playing!
Next day, we went to pick up Tiffany Sin and had lunch at this Mexican place. Afterwards, we went to this WWII memorial up on the mountain, really nice ocean view and breeze. Then we headed to Indian casino, which sucked, so we went across the street to the outlet. The girls took a while to shop, so we had a late dinner at a Chinese restaurant called 168. Our original plan was to head back to Irvine that night, but it was getting late and Edmund was getting lazy, so we stayed at Howard's place for an extra night. We drank, play pool (billard), and ended with the not-very-warm-jacuzzie at 3:30 am.
Woke up the next day (took Edmund 2 hours to get up) got back to Irvine, helped Vivian's sister (Tiffany) and Edmund's brother (Eric) moving into the freshman dorm in Middle Earth, and went back home to catch up on my sleep. 9/17 La Kaffa
I was going to sleep early because of the lack of sleep from SD, but Ava called to go out and have tea with her, Emily, and Wendy (was that their names? oh, i still need to get their msn from you Ava). The place opened recently, it looks really nice and the drinks are pretty good. 9/28 Bellagio clubbing
Last night was the HKSU orientation, which went okay, and then 27 of us had dinner at China palace around 10:30 pm. After dinner Kat, Andrew, Grace, Didi, Daniel, Edmund, Masa, Diana, Melanie, and guy (forgot his name) went clubbing at Bellagio in Garden Grove. Saw many of my friends there that night, I guess it's cuz most people are from uci at the club. The DJ sucked, there was no transition between songs (it was a 20 to 30 seconds silence between songs), and the music choices could've been better. Nonetheless, I still had fun though. Oh, Didi almost puked in my car, good thing I stopped on the side of the road in time for her to puke.
Got to Edmund's place to sleep around 3:30 am and planned on skipping work. However, when I woke up at 8:30 am, I realize I wasn't as tired as I thought I would be after only 5 hours of sleep so I took a shower and went to work. friend's bday this sunday, far drive up to thousand oaks though... i'll post up pix when i get them. | | |
