What a weekend.

This past Saturday my schedule was packed.  It was tiring towards the end of the day but hey it was so fun!  Here was my schedule:

Birthday lunch with Josh Lee at Dave & Buster in Arcadia.

Hanging out with Kristen (my band mate [= ) and Calvin at the mall.

Adam W., Tiffany F., Becky W. (my other band mate!) and me went to see Hootes n' Cats (Brian F.'s band) live at Hogue Barmichaels in Newport Beach   Then we had dinner at Tofu House and we ate so much free ice cream over there

Yup, such eventful weekend doesn't happen to me that often so it was a fulfilling weekend

Kristen's "Surprised" Birthday

It took us two months of planning for this moment.  It paid off

Lately I'm been obsessed with the two bands, one is Let's Go Sailing and other is The Sweet Hurt. Musically, I like Let's Go Sailing's musical style (I usually like bands that use violin, viola, Cello and bass as part of their music) and The Sweet Hurt's mood (or lyric) is pretty similar to my style (emo, depress).  I started from the band Peter Bjorn and John, through the use of on-line researching the band's relationship with past band members and who they associate with I ended up with these two local bands.  They reminded me of my super hero indie bands like The Sundays, Mazzy Star and Belly, etc.  Yup, I'm going to go see them live for sure 

Fender telecaster guitar along with cello.  Such deadly yet lovely combination.

She reminds me of Nikki Monninger from Silversun Pickups.  They both use Firebird Bass guitar.

The band's lyrics reflect that sweet hurts.

Last Saturday I saw Bjork's performance on Saturday Night Live.  I really loved it!  Now I can't wait to get her NEW ALBUM (I hope it'll come out this year)!!!

Bjork is my college days hero!!!  I'll see you again at your concert!!!

Meg & Dia, Joshua Radin and Schuyler Fisk Conerts!!!

I have been going to concerts every week for the past two weeks and I have been so excited to see all those bands live.  Two weeks ago me and some friends were at the Warped Tour 2007 Kickoff Party.  One of the bands was Meg and Dia.  Here's the full length video of their performance.  Well, they didn't sing Setting Up Sunday  but the concert was good overall!  Here's the video!!!

This past Saturday I was at El Rey Theatre to see Joshua Radin.  He's sooo good!!!  Oh yeah, Zach Braff and Donald Faison (both of them from "Scrubs") was at the show (Zach is Joshua's long time friend).  People were going crazy when they saw them   I rarely see Hollywood stars so I was also star strucked!  When the crowd went crazy Zach pulled his shirt up to show his errr...... nipples and Donald, well he pulled down his pants a little to show off his boxers...... all the girls around me said that they were soooo cute doing that........man I guess if you are a hollywood star, you can pretty much do anything and still can get away with it......

Schuyler Fisk opened for Joshua and she was also the female vocalist for Joshua.  Here's a video from her performance.  Joshua was harmonizing for her.  It's a really nice song and I really loved it.

Here's a full length video of his performance.  He explained the history of his songs so it was nice to know that since I have been listening to his CD almost everyday on my way to work (Newport Beach).  Now I gain some insight of his songs
