So, it's been a very long time since my last post, so I thought I'd post for the hell of it. Things are going well here at Albion. Jake and I have been together for 1 year and 2 months now and we don't see us splitting up anytime soon. Plus, he's hinted once or twice at wanting to lavalier me! Which would be amazing ;) Let's see, what else...oh, I had an amazing spring break down in Panama City Beach, Florida. I'm now so tan that ppl mistake me for being mulatto(half black, half white) as well as Indian and a whole new slew of ethncities. Oh, and in Kappa Delta, I'm on council as the Panhellenic Delegate, have taken a little sister who is stupenously cool, and have plans to run for president next semester. In academic news, classes are tough as usual, but I'm dealin. I'm only about 2 geo classes away from completing my geo major, several classes away from completing my paleo minor and will have my music major done by the time I graduate. So yeah, two majors and a minor, plus being greek, plus having my boyfriend, plus having a life....needless to say I'm quite a busy person. And that's what's going on in my world at the moment.

I get my car on Thursday! I get my car on Thursday! La da da da da da! Hey! ~*all said to some little tune whose name I don't know* ::

so the last few days i've been getting a little worried about my whole car situation since it seemed like the volvo wasn't working and i hadn't found any others. well, my worrying is over! i got the car! the down payment is paid and everything! i can't wait to drive it off the lot.

in other news, it's only a week until i drive back up to school. i move in the 14th, so i have to drive up a day early cuz i'm 10 hours away. should be a nice road trip. i can't wait to hang out w/everyone. it will be a little different though; i'm unfortunately not doing B8 this year-i have a lot on my plate w/o it already. last year i tried to be a jack-of-all-trades which meant i was basically, as the cliche goes, a master-of-none and there were a couple times where i wanted to rip out my brains. but that won't happen this year cuz i'm going to do my best to focus more on my classes. i'll still party, just not as frequently. and i'll still remain active in greek life. i guess i just gotta do what i gotta do.

well, it's kinda late, so...yeah, off to bed w/me.

So I'm finally out of the desert.  It was definitely a lot of fun to camp out there.  Not only do I now have a greater appreciation for the civilized life, but I also enjoy the outdoors a bit more now too.  Anyway, I'm very glad to be back in air conditioning, have the luxury of an indoor bathroom and a choice of what to eat for lunch. You never realize it, but we definitely take the whole indoor bathroom thing for granted.  I can't tell you how much of a hassle it was to have to walk for about 10 minutes up and around hills and such just to find a decent place to defecate.

Well, I may be back in civilization, but I'm not at home yet.  Right now, I"m at Nicole's house and I'll be here till Thursday when I fly home. Only a few days and I'm home free for 3 weeks!  I can't wait to see all my friends and family again.  Plus, I can't wait to get a car!  I have no idea what I'm getting right now, cuz my parents, who are looking for me, keep changing their minds.  So far, in the space of about 2 weeks, they've talked about Bugs, Benzes, Lexuses, Xterras, Passats, and now they're on Mitsubishi Gallants.  They keep confusing me!  But oh well, as long as the thing has a seat, engine, four wheels, and can get me to the places I need to go, I'm happy.

Speaking of cars, yesterday evening, on the way to Nicole's house, she and I witnessed an accident first hand.  And it wasn't an accident like two cars bumbing into each other and just crushing their bumpers. No.  We saw a young girl in a Honda go to avoid getting swideswiped by some bigger car and end up flying into the air where it flipped about 3 to 5 times before it landed on its back and rolled over onto its wheels.  I have never seen something so shocking in my life.  We pulled over right away.  I jumped out of the car and ran over to the crashed one to get the girl out of her car just in case it could blow up or something while she was still in it while Nicole was about to call 911 when a state trooper passing in the other direction stopped.  The poor girl was crying over the phone to her mom about the accident and was covered in tiny lacerations from the glass of her windshield.  The car itself was all banged up, of course, and the windshield was practically shattered.  We weren't there very long though because we didn't witness enough of the accident to help with the report.  Though I wasn't really involved in the accident, it's not something I'll soon forget.

Well, time to go chill or something.
