As of today September 25 at 1130AM, I got back from my trip from New
York. When I had a chance to think on the plane I realized that from
the time my dad dropped me off at the Chicago airport last Thursday to
the minute I got off the plane today Ive been in pain. Everyday
presented a different pain in a different area with different
severities. You dont want to know the details...
However despite all the pain and hardships it was probably one of the
best trips Ive taken in a while. If someone followed me around during
my trip they would say that I really didnt do that much. I walked
around, saw a few things and ate a few meals. It wasnt the things that I did that made this trip special, but the person I did them with. I guess thats a part of what love is.
Thank you Lord for blessing my life in amazing ways.
I also wanted to add that her roommates are amazing. You wont find an easier bunch to get along with.
A couple of days ago a milestone of Man came to pass. I refer to the purchase of ones first sports car.
Tell you the truth I couldnt sleep the night before. I tossed and turned the whole night with anticipation. The day however was a bittersweet event. Sweet because a dream had arrived, bitter because not 1 min after buying the car I made a small dent in the front bumper.
How did it happen you say? Was it on the road? Were you driving fast? Were you being stupid? No, no, no, and no. The previous owner leaves the car in 1st gear. Ive always kept it in Neutral and just pulled the parking brake. Anyways in my excitement to turn the car on I didnt notice the gearbox in 1st and well the rest is history.
Long story short I hit a bicycle he had in the garage and made a small but heartbreaking dent in my front bumper.
Regardless I love the car. Without further adieu I introduce to you my Topaz Blue 2003 M3
note: This pic is my actual car and not a pic I found somewhere
There are many things in my life that I regret. Some things are little and somethings are painfully big, but all had a life changing lesson as reward. All save one.
This really doesnt apply to the girls, but I would wager that many an Asian man today had played Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles for the NES in his yesteryears.
I slaved, I sweated, I cried out to God! The end however was as regretable as eating Korean food while sick after a night of drinking. Trust me its regretable. It has always been a thorn in my side. This game owned me....no wait...it PWNed me. *sigh*
My hat is off to the video game master in this video....thank you....thank you
An update on the new car situation. Last Tuesday I went test driving with my family to get some real world experience on the choices below.
First up BMW: After waiting patiently I finally turned the key of a beautiful black M5. It was like a childhood dream coming true, I was finally behind the wheel of an M car. Its subtle lines no doubt hinted to its racing heritage, but to the uninitiated it was still a classy BMW through and through. Its However about 10 minutes into it I found myself disappointed. Sure the M5 was fast, but it didnt feel fast. It felt like a plane at cruising altitude, sure your going over Mach 1, but it doesnt feel that way. I felt like I was eating at a fancy restaurant Downtown, when what I really wanted was a greasy 5 piece from Popeyes. M5 Verdict: Beautiful car but not fun enough Second Mitsubishi: When I walked into the Mitsubishi dealership I realized that I was heeding the call of a very different childhood dream. The thoughts of luxury and prestige were gone, replaced with the urge to experience a hard edged racing machine. I looked at the Evo's sharp lines, its aluminum carbon fiber exterior, forged BBS rims, Recaro seats that could replace a woman's embrace, and I knew I was in a realm between perfection and sublime. The instant I started the car I could feel the power at my fingertips...1000 rpm... 2000 rpm...3000 and your at warp speed. Whatever dream like state I was in was quickly replaced with full concentration. I felt like I was literally ripping the road apart when accelerating and slowing the Earth's rotation when I applied the brakes; unbelievable performance. However as I started to encounter normal traffic I found the car a bit troublesome to drive. It was like mountain biking with a rocket on the back of your bike, sure it will get the job done, but not without effort and fatigue. The Evo is for the open road free of other pesky cars, but when you have to share the road, its tester than a kid watching another kid get candy in the check out line. Evo Verdict: Great performance, not really suited for everyday use
As you can see this kind of put me in an awkward spot. Should I go for subtle or insanity. Then it I saw it, the perfect blend of the 2. A synergy of luxury and performance...
the M3
The drive was powerful yet controlled. Its styling aggressive yet not toyish. Its heritage and prestige present and undeniable.
Ill let Mr. Tiff Needel from Britain's hit show Fifth Gear explain the rest
