| this is why i like reading court opinions:
in an attempt to avoid using sexually explicit language, many courts
have used words like "fellatio" and "cunnilingus" in cases dealing w/
laws banning sodomy... some even say they're essentially the same
thing!... i didn't even know that sodomy used to refer to
oral sex as well...
talking about words that people dont' use very often... do most people,
esp. women, know what suffrage mean?... well, you got to check

this dude went around a prep school asking female students to sign a
petition to end women's suffrage (as a joke)... you'd be surprised how
many girls signed it...

| New Year resolution: saying bye to the inner slut... ; )
btw, i'm in bangkok now for the winter break... went to back to
see some old friends in singapore as well.. havne't seen them in more
than 5 yrs!... i was so excited to find out what's going on w/
everyone (aka gossip?.. haha)... i'll post up the pics later
(well, if anyone is still reading this)... xtina probably does coz' she
likes to wander on the net during work hours...
writing 2 entries per year really slows down the blog traffic...
guess i'll try to find a little more time to write...

| July 2Haven't written in so long... don't remember everything
that happened since then... but to summarize, i survived my
first year in law school (it wasn't as bad as what most people told
me), hated torts class, had a few dates, bought a few more hats, drank
too much, came back to bangkok for an internship, revived the romantic
aspect of my life.... i'm sure something else more interesting
happened... but i tend to remember the mundane stuff until
otherwise reminded...
so i was browsing through some websites for non-profit gay
orgs... doesn't seem like there're as many here as in the
US... anyway, one of the websites posted news about this
thai director who is making a moving about a thai policeman falling in
love with a criminal... that must be the subject of many
wet dreams for some gay men... actually it sounds a lot like a
plot for porn... but i actually want to see it when it
comes out... anyway, the police chief was all against it
according to the news... his reason was that gay people should
stay in their own space, and not appear in movies?... something stupid
like that... and there is no reason to make that movie just to
please gay people who comprise a minority group... it's more like
a statement than an argument... i think anyone is a
minority in some way... like we shouldn't stop making this movie
just to please the police who comprise a minority
profession... if what he says makes sense, we probably
won't be doing anything at all... police are so dumb... ok
let's say most... i already hate most police in the US... but in
thailand they're truly dumbasses... even the police chief could
say dumb things like that... i mean i have heard some good argument
about why people shouldn't be gay even though i don't agree with
it.... but man, dumb speech like that coming from a police
chief... i think the purposes of the police is thailand are to
rip money off of your wallet near the end of the month under the color
of the law, mess up the traffic (yes, we still use police to flip the
traffic lights at cross streets), get invited to some phoney wedding to
give a dumb speech (if your rank is high enough), use gov. property
like police cars/motorbikes for personal things... etc...
talking about a wedding, i had to accompany my mom to a dumbest wedding
in the world... some customer of my parents who happens to be a
neighbor... my dad and my brothers werent' around, so i had to
go... it involved us sitting down and eating... then went
home... we didn't even bother to walk about 15 steps back to grab
the gift that we had forgotten (some bottle w/ sand.. who knows
what)... anyway, the wedding in thailand always has to have a
chairman... i dont' know why... and for this wedding the
chairman was some police chief, i think... or some political
figure... let's call him Kerry since he talks like john kerry,
the thai version... Kerry was as you know boring...
he went on to talk about why the bride and the groom were so
compatible... his reasons?.. i tried to keep my
composure... "...because the bride and the groom studied
the same major, in the same unversity... they went to england to
pursue master degree together..."... hmmm... didn't they
just say that during the introduction??!!... apparently
Kerry knew nothing about the bride and the groom... they probably
just met that evening... that's how phoney it was... i
dont' see you would want someone that you who hardly know you or never
met you before talk about you at your wedding... well, if i
have to have a chairman for my wedding per my parents' request, that
person definitely isn't going to be a cop!...
a lot more to write.... but i have to go meet up w/ some friends... maybe one more story..
i have been hanging out with my friend jack from australia who now
lives in bangkok w/ his bf... we ran into each other in at a sex
show.... dont' ask me why!... let's just say i was taking my US friend
there coz' he never seen one... anyway, one of his
employees (this dramatic thai girl) just stopped talking to him and his
bf.... she would also give a shit face to them... ya, you can do
that to your boss here ... my mom would've fired her on the
spot.. but they were nice enough to try to talk to her... but that
bitch wouldn't budge... anyway, turned out they eventually
found out that she was pulling the drama because when they got back
from china, they gave the other girls (faked) LV wallets but the drama
girl got a leather manicure set.... but that must be the
most stupid reason to get angry at your boss!!... what's even
more stupid is that the manicure set costs twice as much as the faked
LV... that ungrateful dramatic girl... by the
way, this is the same girl that calls jack's bf all the time coz' she
thinks there are ghosts haunting her apartment...

| I went to an immigrants march on Monday... check out HR
4437! It's evil! It passed the House. Senate
judiciary committee just passed its own version of the Immigration
Reform bill this week. This version is going to full Senate, and
it's going to affect everyone, esp. if you have any family members
abroad.. Bill Frist is bringing his own racist and
anti-immigrant version of Immigration reform to the Senate
too... what an ass. Frist plans to run for
presidency and so he's willing to make use of immigration issue to
advance his campaign and his ambition... doesn't matter how many
people this reform is going to affect... Frist should just
step on dog's shit, fall over on his face, and then die...
Guess what! immigrants pay taxes that contribute to the soon to
collapse social security fund and medicare... w/o millions
of immigrants, this country's economy is going to suffer, and everyone
is going to suffer... and why did these people come
to the US?... American gov screwed it up for most of them, shoving
NAFTA up their asses so that the small busineses that used to hire them
mexico went bankrupt... not to mention a follow up attack
by raising coffee and corn tarriff... Bush is
backing this anti-immigrant reform, but tries to cover it up w/ "guest
worker" program.... but the fact is immigrants who are here will have
to go back to their home countries... and because they are undocumented
now, if they leave, they will become inadmissible into the US...
what a ploy... plus, guest worker? is he for real? If you
have guests at home, would you ask them to clean your bathrooms and
vacuum your carpet?... guest worker program is going to create
second class citizens.. and since they're mostly minority, you know
what racial stereotype is going to develop in this country.. not
as if racism isn't bad enough here... and if they dont'
need young americans to do low wage jobs, where are americans going to
end up?.... drums roll....... Iraq!
yep, the never ending war... that's where Bush needs american
citizens...
