In Iraq

I know, I know, its been a while.  Been kinda busy these last 8 months. In those 8 months I have:

*Been serving in Northern Iraq for almost 4 months. *Gotten engaged to be married *Picked up learning guitar (seriously) *Began learning Iraqi Dialect Arabic *Began reading the Bible daily (currently on Joshua).

Things are much better here than the leftist media would have you believe.  Things are bad in Baghdad, and that's about it.  Sure there are a couple of other tense spots, but large sections of the country are being turned over to Iraqi control every day.  Have I seen my share of war, yes, more than I care to again.  But by "war" standards, that is not much.  Things are going great here in Northern Iraq.  The only down part is that I am here.  At one point I was so eager to be a combat veteran.  Well, now I am a veteran of combat and I would have rather stayed at home with my family, thank you.  I cant say that I regret it, because at least now I can say that I have earned my freedom, and that for my family.  I know that it will be hard not to punch some socialist-leftist, hippie college student when they start to bash the good work we are doing here.

People that have not been here, that hate the war and President Bush, think they know what its like here.  They have no clue and never will.  They think that by watching CNN and MSNBC that they know the truth.  The think that because they study the works of Al Franken, Al Gore, and Michael Moore, they are educated, good little communists.  They are ignorant.  I have seen the buildings, stained by blood, that Saddam's regime used to torture people in.  I have talked to people that fantasize about the glory days of Iraq, before Saddam, how greatful they are to the Americans AND President Bush, and how much they hate the Iranian, Syrian, and Chechnyan TERRORISTS that came here just because they hate freedom of thought, religion, and expression.  They hate the fact that women have rights under a Democratic system.  If you are some leftist student/professor/actor, you are not educated, and you dont give a crap about human rights.  You are just pissed off because a conservative Christian Republican president had the balls to do it.  If you had the intestinal fortitude to be honest, even to yourself, you would admit that had President Clinton had the balls to take the fight to the enemy, and had come to Iraq, then you would be ecstatic about the situation.

Ok, enough of my rant.  Liberals are ignorant.

I miss my children dearly.  I have not seen my son or daughter since October and I feel a huge hole in my life.  I love the fact that I have been able to put pictures of them up all over my room, so that I may be able to see them every day.  It has become increasingly difficult to talk to them, due to problems between their mother (my X wife) and I.

The last blog that I left, I had been dating a wonderful woman for a month or so.  Well, now, my Kristina and I are engaged.  I try to talk to her every day if possible.  She is by far the most amazing, genuine woman I have ever had the blessing to meet.  It is so hard being away from her, but this time does nothing but strengthen us.  She also has two wonderful daughters that I love as my own.  I cannot wait for the day that I return home to my wife and kids and strive to be the best Christian father and husband.

Um, I dont know what else.  If you have any questions ask.  You do have a better chance of finding me on myspace though.

Take care, CPL "dj" smallz

Yeah, I'm still alive.

Greetings and Salutations Y'all!

Yeah, I went over to the Myspace side.  I guess I'll check in here once in a while otherwise check out www.myspace.com/djsmallz18.

To update you - I'm now working full time National Guard as a recruiting assistant.  Very possible that I could become an actual recruiter from this position.  Things didn't really work with Shannon.  That was too bad, she was really cool, but we still keep in touch.  Hopefully gonna get the Firebird rolling here soon.

Oh yeah, and ILLEAGAL aliens suck!  No problem with LEAGAL immigrants.  Unless you are 100% Native American, you are a product of Immigration.  However, all these ILLEAGALs that think they have a right to pout about lack of rights are morons.

Thats all

Shameless self promotion

Yeah, that's right. Go check out www.motodoubled.com, the site is still a work in progress, but its my race team's website and we're trying to get out of our winter funk. Over the summer we will continue selling our apparel and return to our own series of "warped tour" style shows, with local bands and freestyle motocross, street bike, and other extreme sports.

Also, I dj if anyone's in need.

So, President Bush lied to us about why we went to war huh?  The only reason we are in Iraq is because they supposedly had WMD?  Going there for humanitarian reasons was never stated huh?  Well, if you really believe that you should read some of his reasons he stated to the UN on 12 September 2002.

"...Twelve years ago, Iraq invaded Kuwait without provocation. And the regime's forces were poised to continue their march to seize other countries and their resources. Had Saddam Hussein been appeased instead of stopped, he would have endangered the peace and stability of the world. Yet this aggression was stopped -- by the might of coalition forces and the will of the United Nations.

To suspend hostilities, to spare himself, Iraq's dictator accepted a series of commitments. The terms were clear, to him and to all. And he agreed to prove he is complying with every one of those obligations.

He has proven instead only his contempt for the United Nations, and for all his pledges. By breaking every pledge -- by his deceptions, and by his cruelties -- Saddam Hussein has made the case against himself.

In 1991, Security Council Resolution 688 demanded that the Iraqi regime cease at once the repression of its own people, including the systematic repression of minorities -- which the Council said, threatened international peace and security in the region. This demand goes ignored.

Last year, the U.N. Commission on Human Rights found that Iraq continues to commit extremely grave violations of human rights, and that the regime's repression is all pervasive. Tens of thousands of political opponents and ordinary citizens have been subjected to arbitrary arrest and imprisonment, summary execution, and torture by beating and burning, electric shock, starvation, mutilation, and rape. Wives are tortured in front of their husbands, children in the presence of their parents -- and all of these horrors concealed from the world by the apparatus of a totalitarian state.

In 1991, the U.N. Security Council, through Resolutions 686 and 687, demanded that Iraq return all prisoners from Kuwait and other lands. Iraq's regime agreed. It broke its promise. Last year the Secretary General's high-level coordinator for this issue reported that Kuwait, Saudi, Indian, Syrian, Lebanese, Iranian, Egyptian, Bahraini, and Omani nationals remain unaccounted for -- more than 600 people. One American pilot is among them.

In 1991, the U.N. Security Council, through Resolution 687, demanded that Iraq renounce all involvement with terrorism, and permit no terrorist organizations to operate in Iraq. Iraq's regime agreed. It broke this promise. In violation of Security Council Resolution 1373, Iraq continues to shelter and support terrorist organizations that direct violence against Iran, Israel, and Western governments. Iraqi dissidents abroad are targeted for murder..."
